With ESPN Club gone, where to watch March Madness?

RIP, ESPN Club. Is there anywhere else with multiple TVs that might be a good spot to catch a March Madness game on property?

Also, does anyone know if the resort rooms have TBS and TruTV channels?

We watched a college football bowl game at the bar at The Wave in the Contemporary. I would say that you can try the bar at your resort and request the game.

Some of the bars in the resorts or the sports bars at Disney Springs would be your best bet.
You won't find it in any of the parks.

Here are the best restaursnt options...
Rix at Coronado Springs
CIty Works at DS (this it the best and can book a table on Open Table or try walking in to sit at bar)
Splitsville at DS (they have outside bar but usually busy so there is also a bar in the back inside...both have TVs)
Geyser Point Grill (I heard was good but never been)

Next best reataurants
Big River at Boardwalk
Steakhouse 71 lounge (used to be Wave)

Any resort lounge but many don't open until 4pm, sadly. But the pool bars do have TVs. Riviera's Bar Riva, poolside bar, is really good. Contemporary's Outer Rim, inside so also opens at 4, is also. As well as Beach Club's Martha's Vineyard, not open until 4.

The Wave is gone, but I believe Steakhouse 71 still has TVs. Other than that your best bet is Disney Springs. City Works or Splitsville have lots of TVs. Gurgling Suitcase at OKW is a fun place to watch sports but it is extremely small and has one TV.

What is planned for the ESPN Club spot at Boardwalk? With NBA experience closing as well, there is less of a sports experience at WDW.

Can anyone confirm if Martha's Vineyard has 2 TVs? I think they do, but want to be sure.

My team made the Sweet 16 for the first time in 25 years! and they play on Friday night (not sure on time yet). I'd love to watch the game somewhere other than a sit down restaurant, but also don't want to take a chance on a place with 1 TV.

Thanks!

I love Ed Cooley. I hope the Friars keep dancing! Rix Sports Bar and Grill at Coronado Springs is a good place to watch a game. Not as convenient as ESPN was to BCV/BWV for sure though.

Thank you!! We love Cooley, too! He's a terrific coach and an even better person.

Thanks for the suggestion on where to watch - I hope I have 2 games to watch next weekend :)

They do. Maybe even 3 or 4 TVs but they don't open until 4pm. They have 2 behind bar and 1 or 2 on the walls where tables are.

Also the pool bar at Boardwalk (Clown pool) is an option. You could try to sit at the bar at Big River and if too packed go to the Clown pool bar. We did that for NFL play off game in January.

Could go to Contemporary and try the Outer Rim bar up in that atrium. There is also a lounge in what used to be the Wave but is now Steakhouse 71. Booze drinks there are pricey as is wine. Beer may be cheapest bet.

We like City Works and Splitsville at DS. We go sit at bar at City Works. They do have 2 there (one is like and indoor bar with outdoor walk up bar and has a limited drink menu and not the full list of brews but is good enough). Splitsville also has outdoor bar and an indoor one in back towards side where Glazed Donuts is. We sat there last time too and it was empty.

Rix has a bar you can sit at and some little sofa seating areas but they will not change TVs to your game though there are dozens in there but you might not have a view from where you're sitting. And service there sucks!

A million thanks for these suggestions!! The game is not until 7:29pm so I thought Martha's Vineyard would work. We own DVC at the Boardwalk and have always enjoyed spending time at Martha's Vineyard. It's almost a hidden gem. I like being close to Epcot too for those in our party who don't want to watch the game, it's easy for them to go to the park yet we're all not too far from one another.

Sweet 16 games run 2 games at roughly the same time, so I wanted to pick a place that had multiple TVs in case others are more interested in the other game.

Now I have to break it to the kids that I have to cancel our Beaches & Cream ressie at 7:05pm but I've waited 25 years for the Friars to head back to the Sweet 16, so ice cream can wait :)
