Oooooooooooooook. So today we hit the 60 day mark until our wedding!

And we have 40 days of work left!

In honor of the little milestone, we decided to cancel our MK photo session. I know that sounds weird, and we were looking forward to it at first, but it's the right decision for us. First of all, it's a lot of money. $1100 can go a long way. Secondly, I asked my assist.planner if our time was changing from 6 to 7:45 and she said yes, someone from photography would be contacting me. I really only like the pictures of the castle lit up. If we did a 7:45am shoot, it would all be in daylight, and that really just takes away from the specialness of the shoot for me. Lastly, Eddie made a good point:What are we going to do with all of these pictures of ourselves?! I have to admit, that's a good point. We really don't need them. I feel pretty good about this decision, plus it's not only saving us the $1100 but also saving the money for hair and makeup for the shoot since we were doing it the day after our wedding. I've made my peace with this decision, so now I'm going to move on.
Since we're saving some money, we've decided to go ahead and get the aisle runner from Disney.

It's $200, so it's a little pricey, but it'll look good in pictures and I know Disney will provide a quality runner, so I'm excited about this.
I almost forgot to write about it, but on Monday I had my hair/makeup trial with Patricia and Eddie and I got our engagement pictures taken by David and Vick Arndt!!!!

Unfortunately, the only picture I have of my hair/makeup is on my cell phone, and it's not very clear, so I don't have anything to show you guys, but I was SO so so pleased with Patricia. I wanted an updo, but she convinced me to go with half up/half down. She told me my hair was perfect for curling (well yeah, it is curly so I can understand it holding a curl

). I wasn't convinced until I saw what she did, and I agree, it looks good half up. I like the curls over my shoulders, especially since my dress is cut straight across my chest, the hair around my back/neck all curled looks good and offsets the wideness of my shoulders. I also LOVED the airbrushed makeup and my eyes!! She was trying to talk me into getting eyelashes, but once she went to apply the mascara, she realized that's not needed. Good thing, cuz I don't think I would've been able to have the patience to have those things applied to my eyes! I definitely think it's awkward getting your eye makeup done. She kept telling me to look at her, and for whatever reason, I couldn't stop laughing. Yes, I'm a child.
Then we went to the Boardwalk to take pictures with David & Vicki. Oh my gosh, they are my favorite people, EVER! They're so friendly and easy to work with. The morning of the pictures, Eddie and I were both trying to come up with reasons to cancel the pictures, we were so dreading it. But now we're so happy we did them. Vicki is an absolute sweetheart, and David is so funny!!!! They made us so comfortable, and we didn't feel nearly as silly and foolish as I thought we would. We really lucked out too. There was almost no one on the Boardwalk that night, and we had the most gorgeous weather! We started taking pics at around 3:45, and continued until 6. The sunset was gorgeous, and I'm so excited to see our pictures! I hope I don't pick myself apart too badly. I really want to enjoy some of the pictures we took, so I have to remind myself to be kind to myself! Vicki said they've been crazy busy so we'll have our pictures in about 4 weeks, but she said she'll try to post some teaser pics on her facebook before then. I can't wait!
We also rented DF's tux last week. I'm glad that's done with. He went with the ivory tux with champagne vest, and the gm will be wearing a chocolate tux with champagne vest. We're excited to have that taken care of. I go for my dress fitting on Saturday, hopefully it wont be too expensive! I'm afraid the bustle is going to be kinda pricey. I guess I'm done rambling on. haha I'm so excited the wedding is so close!!!! WOO!
