We are going to bring DD for the first time to the electrical parade and wishes. She will be 4, almost 5. We will be traveling February 2017. It looks like the parade traditionally starts at 7 and fireworks at 8 during February. How long is the fireworks show? When should we find our seat and where should we sit? I have not seen the parade and fireworks since I was 15 (many many moons ago..) Thank you!

Many will recommend finding a seat early. I say judge your child. If she cannot sit an hour waiting for a parade and fireworks, forfeit that perfect view to have a happier child. Wishes lasts maybe 20 minutes +/- total, preshow also and no matter what time of year it is, if you are right by the Castle viewing them, it's a madhouse getting out from there. It is also one of the better views, right by the Partners Statue.

Wishes is about 18-20 minutes. If you plan on watching both, I'd start looking for a spot about 30 minutes before the parade.

You'll want a spot with a good view of the castle. Right before Wishes they do Celebrate The Magic which is a really cool projection show on the front of the castle. Some like it more than Wishes.

A lot of people just stay in the spot they are at from the parade since the fireworks are shortly after

We enjoyed watching the parade from where it begins in Frontierland. You could move after that if you want to see Wishes from the front of the castle. A friend of mine likes to watch Wishes from the train area in the front of the park.

I liked sitting on the wall near dumbo ride and watching. Can't see the castle but it was empty and the crowds drive me crazy. We did sit in the grass area one night near the plaza restaurant but ended up with people trying to sit in our laps. I find I'm happier missing some and getting space to myself.

can you see the electrical parade from the train station? is that where it ends?

1. can you see the electrical parade from the train station?
2. is that where it ends?
1. Yes.**
2. Not directly there, but it does end at that end of MK.

**However, the upper level of the Train Station is usually reserved by Disney for viewing by special VIP guests.

A look below at the MK Parade Route-
Disney's (MS) Electrical Parade starts near the Firehouse and exits near Splash Mtn.

The 3 O'Clock Parade (Festival of Fantasy) and both the MVMCP and MNSSHP parades start near Spalsh Mtn. and exit near the Firehouse.

Less crowded than on Main Street, but still spectacular viewing can be found near the Hall of Presidents, or deep into Frontierland, past the Country Bears. (But, from those locations you won't be able to see the spectacular, not-to-be-missed show that is actually projected on the front of the Castle, "Celebrate the Magic," which begins about 15 minutes before the fireworks.)
