Wishes or Sprectromagic

Which would be better? We are trying to plan our nights out especially b/c we leave in a week. We also want to hit Pleasure Island. Is Illuminations worth it? We are already doing Fantasmic when we are there.

IMO if you are going to be in EPCOT it is worth seeing. However, making it a special trip just to see it, I guess I just wouldn't.

If you are going to stick around to see Wishes you might as well take in Spectromagic as well. They run back to back anyway.

I would have to say that it would be hard for me to choose, since we enjoy all of the Disney nighttime shows!

Last year we made sure we saw Illuminations twice! One piece of advice, just make sure you can hear the music! We saw it once in a bad spot where there were no speakers and it was NOT the same at all!

We also made a special trip to the MK just to see SpectroMagic and Wishes on a Saturday (we were there for a week when Spectro was only running twice and we HAVE to see Spectro) and boy oh boy was it crowded!! But, we got there early and staked out our spot on Main Street, made friends with the folks sitting near us and had a great time! Wishes started soon after Spectro, and I must say it brings me to tears every time! Definitely not to be missed! Pure Disney Magic!

Finally, we saw Fantasmic with the FDP, and liked the show alot, but of the nighttime shows, I would have to say this is the one I could miss and not be upset about. Don't get me wrong, I love me some Fantasmic. But if I had to choose, this would be the one I would put off until next trip.

Of course, all of this is JMHO, hope you have a wonderful trip!

In my opinion, if you are going to see one you might as well see the other since they run back to back. I personally love both and they are a definite see for our family, along with Fantasmic. The one I could do without is Illuminations, I would never go out of my way to see that one. It just happens that we are planning to be in Epcot at night so we'll stay for it. But to me, the ones not to miss are Fantasmic, Spectromagic and Wishes! Have fun!!

The reason I was asking was b/c the Wishes and Sprectromagic are on different nights not back to back. They are both at 9PM on seperate and I wanted to see if it was worth going to MK for both of them on seperate nights and not seeing Illuminations. I already have Fantasmic Dinner Package booked so that is for sure a definite that we have to do! What would you do--go to both the shows at MK>??

Ok I have to ask, not that I doubt you, but I've never seen where Spectromagic is happening that Wishes isn't following it, what dates are you going?

Where did you see that Spectro and Wishes were not the same night? Specto is not every night, but Wishes (as far as I'm aware) is shown every night - after Spectro on nights when there is a Spectro.

I am going on August 27 til the 31st. According to the allearsnet website, they aren't following each other.

SPECTROMAGIC

August 1-5, 8 -- 9 and 11 p.m.

August 6, 7, 9-13, 15, 17, 20, 22, 25, 27, 29 -- 9 p.m.

WISHES

August 1-13, 15, 17, 20, 22, 25, 27, 29 -- 10 p.m.

August 14, 16, 18-19, 21, 23-24, 26, 28, 30-31 -- 9 p.m.



I don't know if this is incorrect or not!! Please someone tell me!

Aug 27 and 29th during your stay spectro is at 9 and wishes at 10, spectro is not shown the other nights.....from the WDW website.

Sorry to all. I confused myself as well as my husband. We just looked at the dates again. The first day we get there we are going to hang out and then to Magic Kingdom for the Spectromagic and Wishes. We have Fantasmic dinner for Tuesday and will work everything else around that.
