Wishes music at California Grill

I read on another board that they no longer pipe the music in to the CG when Wishes is on - please someone tell me this isn't true!!

I'm afraid it is, or at least it was true in December when we were there.
We actually got 'Hold Me Now' by the Thompson Twins playing out on the deck while we were watching Wishes. Very surreal.

We were there on Xmas Day (too cold to stand outside) but the music was piped into the lounge. Maybe it was because it was Xmas??? Annoyingly, the clouds were so low that night, most of the fireworks disappeared instantly. Not really the kind of night I was expecting!

Luckily Kev had gone for his 'Flock of Seagulls' look that evening, so he didn't feel too out of place.

I got the impression this was a blunder (the music, not Kev's 80s fashion sense) and we were supposed to get the music. I wasn't quite sure whether or not it would have just been outside, or whether it would have been piped in as well. Our waiter did recommend we went outside, but I think he said it was because they no longer dim the lights. Have to admit, I was more interested in the food!
