does the beach usually fill up to watch the boat parade and fireworks? What time should I arrive to snag a beach chair? Or I guess I could just bring my own camp chairs?

While I have never viewed from the beach (although I may try this next trip) I have not heard much as far as comments on it being crowded, just that folks felt it was a nice experience. So I gather it's probably not too crowded/crazy. I guess like all things though, it can change as the word gets out.

I'd be interested in knowing what others experience is with viewing wishes from the beach, as well.

Viewed from there many times. It does not "fill up" but there are usually several people down there. The beach is quite large and thus gives ample room. There is a wooden deck at the beginning of the boat ramp with table and chairs if you want a place to sit, but we usually just bring our folding chairs from the campsite and sit in them letting our feet bury in the sand.

Well, I was hoping to report back on our experience, but we're most definitely rained out tonight. Hopefully we'll get another chance later in the week.

We have done this in Sep. Nov. Dec. and Jan. and have never found it overly populated . We like to get some sort of take out at Trails End a couple of sodas maybe some tea and coffee if its cold sit on some chairs we bring or turn our golf cart around and sit on the back seat and enjoy the show.
