Wishes FP+... worth it?

Opinions? Is it worth using a FP on it? Pros/cons?

They just opened the new west viewing area in the hub. It is enclosed by a barrier of some kind. I am intrigued-but I would also want to know how packed it would be. Someone posted a photo of the vantage point and it looks lovely.

So I guess it depends. Hopefully someone can report on this.

We're absolutely getting a fp+ for it if at all possible. With 2 viewing sections now, it should open some extra availability. We will never again fight for a spot for fireworks after our last trip with my daughter getting injured bad enough that it affected the rest of the trip. So it's the dessert buffet, fp+ or no fireworks for us.

Josh at easywdw.com posted an update today that included a Wishes viewing from the FP+ area... Definitely making me consider using a FP for it!

The only problem - you can't get any more FP until you use your first three. So, by using one for fireworks, you can't get any extra FPs all day.

That's true- but the way we tour parks, it isn't a problem. We do a morning park riding without FP+, then an evening park with our 3 FP+- Getting a Wishes FP+ works great with that.

EasyWDW has a review if the new hub plus fireworks viewing. For now it appears they are NOT cramming the viewing area, but Josh seems confident that more folks won't fill it as Disneu figured that out. But it looked really nice to me and worth a shot.

Yes, we do the same. In fact, on our next trip we are planning to do a half day at AK (RD) without FP and we are saving the daily allotment for MSEP, Wishes, and one other in the evening at MK ... after a nice afternoon break. The new viewing space looks perfect and the idea of camping out for 45 minutes to maybe get a good spot is not very appealing when we could be using that time for fun.

Not worth it to me - to each their own though... for me, the best frame for the fireworks is coming over the top of Splash Mountain with just the right timing
