Wishes FP+ Question

Got on line at 12:01 AM 60 days early, got almost all the FP+ res I wanted, with one exception. The day we arrive, Feb 27th, I thought since we were not going to be in the park till late, we would just get a few FP+ for attractions, and save one for wishes fireworks. Not to be. The FP_+ system said wishes FP were not available. I have seen on the forums that sometimes Wishes isn't available at 60 days out, but are put on the site at a later time, 30 days out or less. So, I put some other FP as my 3rd, figured I would haunt the site and hope I can catch it when it appears and change. Since that time, I have spoken to 4 different CM, got 4 different responses. One said it probably wouldn't be available till a few weeks out. Another said "no, it is available now, there should be no problem reserving". (I was on the computer at the time, didn't show wishes as an option). Another said they can't tell when the wishes reservations can be made since firework times may have to change. I called again, and asked to speak to a supervisor. I was told that wishes go on reservation just like all other FP res, at 60 days before, but due to the limited number available, they were probably all reserved by others whose 60+ day window let them reserve days earlier. Soooo, now I am back to haunting the FP+ web site to see if anything comes up. Has anyone had any good luck getting a wishes FP+ later than 60 days out? Does anyone know how many Wishes FP+ spots there are? It isn't a tragedy, since I figure fireworks can at least be seen just by looking up, just may miss out on a "really good watch spot"

Using the charts on the DIBB site, it appears Wishes is being held after January. Not even those signing in for their first day at 60 days, if they have a 14 night stay and can book up to 2 weeks from their 60 day mark, can find it available. That might happen every few days or so but if it happens every single day, it seems to mean that the reservations were not released.

Calling on the phone usually doesn't help, you get a wrong answer just as often as a right answer when you do that.

I'm glad this question was asked as I got all my other FP+ times too, but not so excited that there's no real answer to this question ...but I will continue stalking the dibb site, since the Wishes FP+ do seem to randomly pop up here and there. Not quite close to my dates (1st week in March), though. I was confused too, as I didn't previously hear that it'd be such a unicorn. Another option is the Wishes dessert party, but for us, it's not quite ideal.

Wishes just happens to be available all the way up to Feb 26th. Feb 27th and beyond have not been made available yet because of planned construction on the rose garden. Not sure when the Wishes FP+ will be made available, and not sure where the viewing area will be for the Wishes FP+ while construction is going on. You can keep checking this site to see when your dates are made available, but it might be a while.

For some reason Disney does not share this information with the people you talk to on the phone? I had the same problem with the MSEP FP+, and no one that I called had any clue!

It's actually normal for phone CMS to have no idea what is going on.

More of an educated guess based off my experience with the MSEP FP and knowing that the rose garden is part of the proposed hub construction.

I was stalking for MSEP FP for our arrival day in Jan. at 60+ days out. I noticed there were no FPs available even 74 days out from the site I gave you. I checked just after midnight, and still nothing available 74 days out. I called multiple CMs and none of them had any clue. Was told that they go quick by people with longer vacations. Was told MSEP doesn't run many nights in Jan. Finally one CM realized they must not be available, but had no idea why. Over one month later, and MSEP FP were all suddenly available. We now realize they moved the FP area to Town Square because of the hub construction.

When I was stalking for MSEP, I noticed Wishes was not available 74 days out starting on Feb 27. It has continued that way well into March now. They are waiting to make Wishes available at a new location because of construction, just like they did with MSEP FP. I've found information on these threads much more helpful than calling CMs. Even if someone is incorrect, someone usually comes along to correct them.

It should say when you look at the Wishes FP on MDE, but I would think it will still be at the rose garden until Feb 27 unless it says otherwise.
