Would you recommend this? We are already planning of doing the pirate firework cruise, so we will have another chance to see the fireworks. Kids are 8, 5, 2.

Personally, and I have done both the dessert party and P&P several times now, with the huge dessert party price increase - to almost P&P levels - I think P&P is the better value. That said, seeing Wishes from a closer vantage point is important too...and, for me, that is the priority, not the very mediocre desserts. The majority of people seem to enjoy the dessert party. If you have $150 burning a hole in your pocket and don't want to find a free spot to see Wishes from the hub, sure, I would give it a try.

Perhaps prior to the price increase but not now. We haven't attended in a couple of years and last time we went found it to be much more crowded than the first time and the dessert quality to have decreased. Now that they've doubled the prices we will not be going again.

We are doing both illuminations and wishes this year. The price increase doesn't scare us away from desserts and a prime seat or stand for the entertainment. It's an event, you pay for the experience plus tasty desserts. No one is ever going tell me chocolate covered strawberries and fried donuts in Kailua are mediocre.

I really like the old dessert party to not be crowded. but I am hesitant with the new price increase. I cant wait to see some reviews from people who can compare it to how it is now. I was definitely just paying for the ease of access, the desserts were nothing special. If it's not a big upgrade, I am going to cancel our party for our next trip, because we also have pirates and pals booked.

We did Pirates and Pals and the dessert party on our last trip. I didn't regret it at all! This trip we are only doing the Dessert party. I am looking forward to seeing the changes!

I have never been served donuts in Kahlua at any dessert party I have attended. If it is on the new menu, I am unsure how anyone can know whether they are good, bad or mediocre unless they have a time machine.

Oooh...so hot and sticky. We bagged a bunch of these for the room. I wish my time machine could take me back now....

Um, yeah, not Wishes Dessert Party that was being discussed. Makes me more interested in Illuminations dessert party though. We attended a dreadful 3D dessert Discovery event at Epcot in October 2013 and the best thing about it was donuts with ice cream.
