Hello, I was excited to get a wishes dessert party reservation for Dec 1 at 6 20. However, just saw the schedule and Wishes isn't til 10! Do we get a voucher for reserved fireworks seating, I always thought dessert party was just prior to fireworks. A little worried now, especially since I prepaid.

Hoping it is similar to Fantasmic dining reservation.

6:20 did they change the dessert party? are you sure it's not 9:20?

It use to be done on tomorrowland terrace opened an hour before wishes, you showed up and got seated, and got up went to the buffet got a plate of carbs and went and sat down. Ate and talked while you waited on wishes.

ANd no it's nothing like the Fantasmic Dining.

Nope checked my res, it says 620...now I am starting to worry! Anyone else know anything about this? I assumed it was as pp said until I thought about the time.

Do a search on here. I just recently read something about this. I think they originally had the time for 6 as a sort of place holder. You should be able to enter one hour before the fireworks go of regardless of what time your reservation is. Do the search because I think Robo answers this question somewhere.

Okay, searching! I also just rechecked, res is definitely 620. Will keep you posted!

As usual, I had no luck with the search feature, lots of weird, unrelated threads. Many were outdated, as it seems that the reservations are released much farther out than in the past.

From the few tidbits I read, it seems like the actual reservation time might be irrelevant, and that you just show up an hour before the fireworks? What is the point of a reservation time then?

Still hoping to find someone in the know, especially since we are coming from a day at Universal and would prefer not to rush to a 6 20 res if it is not necessary.
Universal closes at 6 anyway,m and I was looking for a dining res when I saw the dessert party. dd's birthday is the next day, I thought it might be a fun surprise. No dessert party availability on 12/2, which is just as well since we are heading to the MVMCP, our first so I would not want to do dessert party on that day...

Anyone out there know how the Dessert Party works now? TIA

it should be as I said an hour before wishes, youc an be seated at any time after they open till wishes starts. I always try to be there about 75 minutes before so I can be one of the first in line for the party.

Need my carbs and coffee. okay mostly coffee

Thanks, with a 10:00 wishes scheduled, we should be okay to arrive closer to 8:30 then? Good to know, as I said we are coming from our first ever visit to WWOHP/IOA and I was worried about timing. Actually won Universal tix on My Coke rewards!

Man I've been doing MCR for 10 years and never won anything.. got some head phones.. back in the day use to get $10 Disney GCs havent seen those in years..

LOL my friends all mocked me for even bothering with Coke Rewards, I would save all my points until they ran Disney sweeps or Universal tix. Most of my points went into last years' Disney vaca sweepstakes, but I probably dumped at least 100 points into Universal sweepstakes. Couldn't believe it when I actually won something!

I pass by the Dessert Party quite often and basically it's in the lower part of the Tomorrowland Terrace. I also notice that the CM's start packing up the dessert buffet at the start of wishes so make sure you get all that you need before then!!

It is NOT necessary.

Arrive at the Desert Party location (Tomorrowland Terrace) about 65-75 minutes before the fireworks are scheduled to begin.

(In the case of a 10PM Wishes, arrive at the Party between 8:45 and 8:55.)

All tables are reserved in advance, so no advantage in arriving earlier.

My reservation for 12/22 also says 6:20???

Bingo.

The "6:20" is just a "dummy time" used by the reservation system.
(Not a very good plan for them to do that--as it obviously confuses guests--but what can I say?)

Again, arrive at the Party 65-75 minutes, or so, before the start time of the fireworks that evening.

Thanks for the info! Great news for me, it will work out nicely after a day at Universal!

I had read (last year) that the Dessert Party reservations came available 30 - 60 days out. Now I realize I am way behind the 8 ball! I was looking for reservations on October 27 or 29 and the website tells me no tables available.:confused3:

Has anyone had success getting tickets after the event is sold out? Should I hope for cancellations and check the website every day or is that a waste of time?

Thank you.

Thanks from me as well ! We never stay for fireworks , so it will be a nice addition to our week,
