Wishes Dessert Party w/Plaza Garden Viewing

I've done the Wishes party in the past when it was still reserved seating at Tomorrowland Terrace. I'm considering doing it again in January but with the Plaza Garden view instead. Has anyone tried the new viewing area? What did you think of it? TIA!

In Jan 2015 we did a fastpass in this area and it was great. The parks where unusually busy and this area was perfect for viewing. We have also done the terrace twice with the dessert party. I think the view from the garden is better but I don't think you can go wrong either way.

I have it booked for January also so am curious to hear how people like it. I know it's way overpriced for some mediocre desserts, but I'm ok with that. I just want a good view with not a ton of people around... We shall see.

If it starts at 6:45pm, what time should we be at the check-in area?

I doesn't matter too much because the tables are reserved for you. My wife and I and 2 teenage kids love the variety of desserts and I feel that you are paying for
the experience which is great. If you choose to stay at the terrace for the fireworks I would stand next to the railing early to get a good spot for the fireworks. They
usually have a photopass photographer there also for some great shots with the castle lit up different colors behind you. The desserts are unlimited. We have the dessert party booked for the first week of Feb and can't wait.
