wishes dessert party in December?

WOO HOO. I'm so excited. I want to go for my 30th birthday. Thank you for the person that posted this info.. You rock!!

I just booked for 12/13! I had to call twice b/c the first CM told me they were not booking it yet. The second time, the CM wasn't sure so she looked it up and I was able to book.

Make sure to check the Wishes schedule before you call and book the dessert party. Not every night has the Wishes firework.

We called last night and book the dessert party on 12/4.

I just called to make reservations for Dessert Party and was told they do not have them the nights of MNSSHP. Does anyone know if this is the case or does the person I spoke with not know what she's talking about?

I did a dessert party last year on a MNSSHP night, but as for future dates I don't know.

Can you attend a wishes dessert party without attending the MVMCP?? We were offered the dessert party for 16th Dec, but this is a MVMCP date and we are attending that on 14th Dec, so don't want to go to 2 parties, but quite fancy just doing the dessert party on dec 16th - is this possible?:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

We're booked for 12/2, but I'll have to check on Wishes Fireworks (because that night is also MVMCP). Hmmmmmmmm... anyone know? I'm going to assume, worst case scenario, that they do *not* do Wishes fireworks on the same night as MVMCP?

So they will actually have a Wishes dessert party on a night that Wishes fireworks isn't going on? Where do I check for dates that the fireworks are happening?

They won't have a party if there are no fireworks at all.

Last year they had the dessert parties on hard ticket party nights, but since you need park admission you had to be attending the party as well.

We've just spoken to a CM who said we could book it WITHOUT tickets to the MVMCP - What will happen to us if we are in the park with the dessert party tickets and no mvmcp ticket - I know we couldn't go on the rides, but can we continue to shop until the time of the dessert party and then just do that???

The CM I spoke with did say fireworks start at 9:30... I don't remember hearing this, but it's in my notes.:thumbsup2

This is what I was told as well. The park is cleared at 7:00 and only those with tickets to MVMCP are allowed entry. So we booked the dessert party the same night as our MVMCP tickets.

I would call to confirm that.

We are there 10/21 through 10/30/2010. I just booked for 10/25 for 2 adults. During our time there, the party was not being offered on MNSSHP nights. We are doing MNSSHP on 10/26.

when you book the party is it pre paid or pay when you get there? I have a big group going and I need to round up some funds from them before paying almost 300 for the group on my cc:scared1:

Hi everyone. We will be in Disney the first week of December and was wondering if anyone knew if they usually had the dessert party that time of year? I see wishes is also at different times during that week. Anyone know this answer? Thanks so much.

we will be there this week too and want to do it... waiting to hear if it is extended. Let's keep our fingers crossed together!

I just booked the Dessert party for 12/5 (MVMCP night). We'll be attending the party but haven't bought our tix yet. The CM was very confused. She found us a ressie for 8:30 but then went to look to see what time the Fireworks were and said, "Oh, there are no fireworks that night". I explained that it was a MVMCP party night and the fireworks were at 9:30 (hate when I know more than the CM's) :rolleyes1. She said, "Well, I don't see fireworks for that night, do you still want to book it?" :headache: I said that I did. I have faith in the reservation system that there wouldn't have been a Dessert Party to book that night if there were no fireworks. I had to pay up-front with a Credit Card.

One thing I noted was that the CM wasn't calling it the "Wishes Dessert Party". She called it the "Fireworks Dessert Party". Hmmm.

I know what you mean by us knowing more than the CM but don't say anything like that here people will get you. I posted a thread about this same thing and boy did they let me have it. I had to call twice to book my desert party because the first time I called the CM said they weren't booking through Dec. The second time I called I got to book. So I guess I'm not the only one who is tired of the CM's not knowing what they're doing. But I didn't say that. :rolleyes1

NOPE.. You HAVE to have admission to MVMCP to be able to attend the dessert party.. They are NOT going to let you in and they probley will not refund you dessert party money either so if possible I would see if you could go to the dessert party on the 14th or move your MVMCP Date to the 16th

They WILL NOT let you in.. I don't know who you spoke to but I would call back and try to get another CM that might know what they are talking about.. ( Use to book dinning reservations at the MCO call center). If they did let people in just for the party then why would you need to buy tickets to the party as the fireworks are an extention of the party..

we finally did the dessert party back in march 2010. right before we left we called to see if they had any parties for the days we would be there. the CM told us there weren't any parties scheduled.

so imagine our surprise when we ate dinner at the noodle station our night at MK and we see them setting up for the dessert party. I jumped on my cell phone, called to make a reservation, and the CM was still saying nothing scheduled. I said she must be wrong i am standing right next to it! she looked again and magically, it was suddenly in her system... with availability! booked it and then had to have a CM on site go back to check the computer system to confirm our late add... but we got in!!

next trip is New Year's Eve and trying to see if they will have one that night!! I saw they had one last year.

I just book the dessert party for Nov 28th. No problems in booking with Disney Dining.
