Wishes Dessert Party Extended!

Woo hoo!! I just got November 3rd. Was told to be there at 7 as Wishes starts at 8 that evening.

Hoping that all of the dates have opened up for everyone else now!

Ok, just got of the phone with the 3rd CM today who after talking to 3 different depsrtments confirmed with events that the 7:20 time for Nov 25th is indeed incorrect. The party will NOT be open that early. She was told by her supervisor to book it anyway, and put a note that we were told to show up 1:15 hour prior to the fireworks, ie 8:45 for the party. So anyone who has a 7:20 for 10:00 wishes might want to call back and clear it. Long story short we have a ressie for the 25th that says 7:20, but have been told to show up at 8:45 and we supposedly will not have a problem. I am holding my Nov 29th ressie until after this party to make sure all goes as planned. I will cancel it after the party on the 25th if we do indeed get in at 8:45. We will be in MK for spectro and wishes anyway, so it is worth a shot.

Thank you so much, everyone!!!

I called today and Monday November 23rd was open! I was able to book it!!! :goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

The lady I spoke to (a very nice lady named Marissa) told me that right now it had the time for us to show up at 7:20 and the fireworks weren't scheduled to start until 10 PM. She told me I should call back closer to the time as she believed that perhaps the fireworks would be rescheduled for 8 PM instead. She thought the times weren't loaded correctly.

I'm going to take your advice and call back tomorrow. Maybe they will know more at that time? Thank you though!

Is it too much?

Do you get a lot of cookies and hot chocolate for the christmas party?

You get as much or as little as you want. The main attraction for the Christmas party is not the snacks, however. I didn't think the cookies were that great in years past. The apple slices are good but really, how much of either are you going to eat?

That being said, I didn't want to take time away from the Christmas party by budgeting a few hours for the Wishes dessert party. But others who might want a more secluded viewing area for the holiday fireworks might find it ideal.

I know its not a black and white answer, but I honestly don't recall ever leaving the Christmas party stuffed!!! So yes, I would probably have room for the desserts.

Hello. Does anyone know the exact dates of the Wishes Dessert Party, in December. I have called twice and the reps were very confused. One told me that they were every night. I was told by another that they were only on the Christmas Party nights, but I wouldn't have to pay admission to the Christmas party... sooo, could someone help me out please? I am confused. :confused3

It looks like the MVMCP is on the 13th, 15th, 17th and 18th. We will not attend the party. :sad2: We have 5DD and 2DS and it is just way too late for them to enjoy. Does anyone know if it will be offered on Monday the 14th or Wednesday the 16th?

Thanks:thumbsup2

Just spent the last half hour trying to set up the dessert party for Nov. 26th (non-MVMCP). The first attempt found 7pm but the fireworks are at 10pm. I told the girl that does not sound right (3hrs before the show). I asked to speak to a supervisor and she hung up. Second attempt found the same 7pm time slot. This CM went to talk to her supervisor. He said that they are expanding the times to allow for more people (Thanksgiving). He said we could eat the desserts then come back for the viewing. Sounds like they are trying to cram more people into a small area by expanding the time. I am not going to wait 3 hours just to be packed in like sardines. From reading the other post on here, I think nobody knows what is going on including Disney. How very sad...

I have been around the world and back with this today and spent about and hour on the phoe trying to clear it up. Here is what i have so far:
It is offered on party and non party nights. You have to have party tickets to do it on a party night. There are some weird times in the computer for days when fireworks are later. They are NOT correct. The party will start 1 hour before the fireworks. If you have one of these ressies, you should show up one hour prior to the fireworks. This is what CM's are saying on the phone, so i cannot guarantee that any of it is correct, but she did speak to a supervisor and call events to confirm. We currently have one ressie on a party night, and one with the off time on a non party night. The non party is first so I plan to show up one hour before and if I am seated great. If not I will just use the backup ressie the night of the party.

I got one of the cm's that said it was only on party nights. We were undecided on the party so I figured why not. All I know is the last 20 times I have called no one could get me a reservation for the two nights I had open that were non party nights but I got it first try on a party night so I figure at least this way I am done trying :goodvibes Also, they did say you had to have a party ticket to stay for the dessert party whether you had reservations or not.

I called last night and the CM did not know that it was extended and said that Dec was totally sold out. I called today at 7:30 and got our reservation for Dec 15th a MVMCP date

The CM I talked to also told me it was available on MVMCP nights only. In my head I think eventually (if not now) it will be available all nights but the other voice in my head said don't you want to be done calling? (Who doesn't talk to themselves right). I have been trying multiple times the last day and a half to get either the 16th or the 19th with no luck and she was able to find the 13th first try so I took it. Guess we are going to the christmas party. Told the DH the extra ticket cost was an early Christmas Present to me. Please tell me that I will like the Christmas Party. Never been before because I figured it would be too crowded. Hope I am pleasantly surprised and if not then hopefully the few hours at the dessert party will be an oasis.

How do I know what time Wishes starts? We will be there 12/12 (late, plane won't land until 7:30)-12/19 leaving the morning of the 19th. I think the only non MVMCP is 14th and 16th. What time will wishes be on those days? :headache:

Hi Gina :wave2:
Maybe I'll see you on the 14th! DH and I will, no doubt, be wearing our Mickey ears Santa hats. :santa:

Double yay! I'll probably have my fave Christmas Minnie headband thingy on. :goodvibes PM me a pic of you guys -- I'll keep an eye out for you for sure!

DH called and got tickets for the 11/21 party (non MVMCP night). Wishes is supposed to start at 10 but he got a 7:20 reservation. Doesn't sound right, either the fireworks time is wrong or the reservation time is too early. From the way things have been with this party I'm guessing the reservation time is wrong...:sad2:
