Wishes Dessert Party Extended!

The CM I talked to also told me it was available on MVMCP nights only. In my head I think eventually (if not now) it will be available all nights but the other voice in my head said don't you want to be done calling? (Who doesn't talk to themselves right). I have been trying multiple times the last day and a half to get either the 16th or the 19th with no luck and she was able to find the 13th first try so I took it. Guess we are going to the christmas party. Told the DH the extra ticket cost was an early Christmas Present to me. Please tell me that I will like the Christmas Party. Never been before because I figured it would be too crowded. Hope I am pleasantly surprised and if not then hopefully the few hours at the dessert party will be an oasis.

Keep trying! I was able to book 12/12 at noon today. This is a non-MVMCP date. I know others have booked non-party nights as well.

DH called and got tickets for the 11/21 party (non MVMCP night). Wishes is supposed to start at 10 but he got a 7:20 reservation. Doesn't sound right, either the fireworks time is wrong or the reservation time is too early. From the way things have been with this party I'm guessing the reservation time is wrong...:sad2:

same thing happened to us. We are booked at 7:20 for 10:00 fireworks. I had the CM check for me and events says that the party will start 1 hour before the fireworks. The times are in the computer incorrectly and apparently they are having a hard time fixing it. She said just show up 15 min before the party is supposed to start. She said that she noted what had happened on our ressie. Form what i am seeing I think it is an error with the party times b/c the fireworks went at 10:00 the entire week of thanksgiving last year, and that schedule has been out for a month. We kept a backup ressie on MVMCP night and will use it later in the week if our 11-25 doesn't pan out. I just don't think anyone really knows what is going on here! It seems that all that is open on a night with no MVMCP and late fireworks is a 7:20. that isall they had on every night we checked with 10:00 fireworks.

Hi All,

Just want to encourage everyone to keep trying if you're getting the runaround on your reservations and the dates you want. This last weekend I was told that the party was being held every night of my upcoming vacation but that it was sold out.

I called back a few minutes ago and was able to get a reservation for 7pm on Dec 5 which is a non MVMCP night. Wishes is at 8 that night.

I am so excited for this event!!!

Now that I got my reservation for the Wishes Dessert Party for the night of our MVMCP, I am wondering if I will still be able to see the Christmas parade. Last year it was at 8:30 and 10:30. I really love the parade.

Has anyone had luck with getting reservations on the 12/16? We will be there from 12/12-12/19. Our plane is not landing until 7pm and we are leaving the morning of 12/19. We are not going to the MVMCP.

I have reservations for Chef Mickey's at 5:40 on 12/14. I don't know what to expect...but figure that we would miss the dessert party if we book it on 12/14. (I have only been to disney once..and there was no planning involved, we stayed offsite and ate offsite) Does anyone out in DIS boards land want to trade reservations..? I need an earlier reservation at Chef Mickey's.

If I were to book the dessert party on 12/14 with with CM reservations at 5:40...would I miss it?

i highly recommend the second parade; you will have the sidewalk to yourself. Most everyone goes to first parade and alot leave after Wishes.

are you able to see the parade from the Wishes Dessert Party?

No, not very well if at all. This is a parade that you want a front row or second row seat for. The party area is tucked WAY back in the corner (tomorrowland noodle station) and you can see the castle and fireworks, of course, but the parade will be on Main Street, which is steps away, but not really in good viewing range.

I think if I had limited time, but could be at the MK twice, I would do the party on a non-Spectro night or if you already watched Spectro that trip, then on a parade night. I wouldn't do the dessert party and want to see spectro on the same night.

Just got 28th nov booked but was told 19:20,, i asked her to check,, again 7.20pm,, so im not sure what to do,, also it was almost $10 more for the 2 of us than the party i booked the week before on a MVMCP night.

From the dessert party, you can see alot of the floats as they circle the hub and the colors are so bright and vibrant but if it's your one and only night/chance to see spectro, you'd want to see it up closer! You'll certainly hear the music from there though!

Definitly a must do.

We have been trying for the last two weeks to get ressies for 12/2 with no luck. After reading the above message today I decided to call (10:15am EDT) and there WERE 2 seats available
Looks like the fireworks are at 8:00pm on 12/2 so we will be in line at 6:45pm. :dance3:

Hmmm, We're having dinner at Trails End on the 2nd and I think I will surprise DW afterwards with a boat ride to the MK

We are booked on Nov 25th at 7:20(non-MVMCP) and for Nov 29th at 8:30(MVMCP). The 25th was $10 more than the 29th. I called and no ine could tell me why. I think that mabye they are just charging more on non-party nights to try and get people to go during the parties??

On the non-party night (28th) wishes is at 10pm,, but i have been given a 7.20pm slot with arrival 15 mins before  i will hav to enquire at my resort when i arrive i think unless this is spotted and fixed,, the CM said it may be a busy night and if i get 1 hour of desserts then leave to stand for the fireworks,, i was  to this, she said it was all standing, no tables,,

I was told by a dining CM who checked with events that this is an error and just to arrive an hour and 15 min before the fireworks. If it doesn't get fixed I will bechecking in, leaving and coming back. They give you wristbands so it shouldn't be a problem, I hope.

I spoke with a CM & was told it was available every night but during the special events you need to show your wristband/ticket. I'm going from the 14th - 21st of Nov, got my MVMCP for the 19th...so still trying to decide whether or not to do it then or on a non event night. :confused3

Was disappointed to hear they went from $17 to $23 dollars. I thought $17 would be plenty enough but that's how it goes. The pictures of the dessert's look so scrumpcious, but just how much am I going to really eat & will my seats be good? Oh decisions, decisions

Maybe we'll go on the 14th when we first arrive...think, think, think

For fireworks, you really won't want to sit down unless you're on the edge of the pavilion; the overhang might obstruct your view of the higher ones.

It bugs me that disney saw a good thing and had to jack the price up. they were already getting more than enough for what you can eat with the 17 and it jumps to 23 and something tells me, it will only get higher as it gets more popular.
