Wishes Dessert Party Extended!

I just called and spoke to a CM who was aware it was extended till the end of December. I wanted to make a reservation of 12/12. She tried a long time to find it in the computer, then she finally asked and put me on hold for 15 minutes. When she came back she said that the entire month of December was booked! Has anyone been able to book for December?

I just booked for Dec. 15th this afternoon. The CM told me that it was available every night, not just party nights. He asked what my schedule was like and offered me the 15th or 16th, the 16th is not a party night.
He also told me that there were nights available towards the end of my trip, (we check out on Dec. 23rd) but we don't have time to do the party then so I didn't ask what those dates were.

I would call back and try again. I think there is a lot of confusion amongst the CM's right now regarding this party.

We've been hoping that it would be extended. We'll be there starting the 31st, so hopefully we can schedule it one night before it ends. Do we have to call to find out what dates are available if it is only select evenings?

i just got off then phone with Disney and the event is through 12/31/09 and the nights are not just MVMCP nights. You do have to have park admission of course and if their is a MVMCP that night you muct have tickets to the event

The info site, under "updates", is stating that Wishes Dessert Party has been extended through December 29th.

I have heard rumors that, after this year, improvements will be made with Wishes and it will return this spring....AND will be on the DP. Don't know if it's true....

I just booked for December 8. I asked about December 14 and was told there was no Dessert Buffet for this date, only the dates of the Christmas Party. I already have (party) tickets for the 8th, the CM checked availability and was able to book for me.

Magic Kingdom Fireworks Dessert Party
UPDATE: The Wishes Dessert Party has been extended to December 29, 2009. The event is subject to availability and WILL take place on nights of Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party but will still require purchasing separate admission. Adults 10 and older are $23.42 and children 3-9 are $12.77. This price includes tax and gratuities.

Correct, every time we called - we were told it is available every night Wishes is performed, not just during MVMCP nights.

I jut got off the phone with Disney. I tried for a non-MVMCP date (Nov. 26th) They were already sold out. They said the MVMCP dates were easier to get. I am not sure if we want to take away from the MVMCP (nov. 29th) I did not make a ressie.

I made our Wishes Dessert Party reservation this morning for December 9. I have been trying to do this everyday ever since they extended the party for December. This is a non-MVMCP night which is just what I had been trying for. As of last night at 8:00 it still was not available, but it was this morning at 7:00. FINALLY........

Just got off the phone. She looked at a ton of non-party nights and the 9th is the only one that comes up as having a party. Crazy!

We searched from 11/14-12/5 and there was nothing. She checked the 9th, even though we may be home by then and sure enough, it popped up.

I had also asked her to look at Dec. 14 and at the time I asked it was open for a party, but the 12th was not. I am so happy that we got the 9th. This is kinda wierd. I would keep trying if I were you. Even if it's a couple times a day, that's what I was doing. I talked to two different CM yesterday about it and they both told me they knew other days were going to be available too, but they were having trouble getting them into the system for some reason. I haven't had a chance to participate in the boards much because everyone is always so quick and helpful with their answers, but I do have something to contribute finally!

I just made reservations for the Wishes Dessert Party for Nov. 4 which is not a special event night. Also, the CM told me they were not staggering seating times. She just said to arrive at 7 pm.

I called this morning. The CM said that the MVMCP nights were the only nights that could be booked at this time. The other nights are not open now. She suggested that I call tomorrow. I was trying to book Dec. 9 or 12.

I'm a little bummed ... I just found out last night that they extended the Wishes Dessert Party through the end of the year, and the night I wanted in early November is already sold out ... does anybody know when they originally released the new dates? ... I'm just curious how late I was trying to get reservations ...

Oh well, maybe it's a good thing they are sold out ... I was starting to think that $23 pp for 4 adults for dessert was pretty steep (& according to my DH "ridiculous" ) ... & they don't even guarantee seating anyway ...

I just canceled my Dec. 8th reservation - a MVMCP night. I booked Dec. 14th - a non-party night that was not available last evening but is available today.

Wishes is at 8:00 PM, my reservation is for 7:00 PM. The 14th is the last night of our stay. What a great way to end 12 wonderful days in the World.

Thanks to those posting updates as to what they've been able to book.

For those still trying to get specific dates, keep calling. It does appear they are opening more and more dates.

Just called Disney Dining again. I got reservations for Dec. 9--just what I wanted.

My advice is to keep on trying.
