I booked it as a surprise for my husband on our anniversary trip a few years ago. He about :scared1: when he found out how much it cost, and then he was :cloud9::cloud9::cloud9: when he tasted everything and saw the beauty and fun of the event. Mr Cheapo said "worth every penny!" :rolleyes1

Just wondering if you get better seats the sooner you book or does it seem more random based on party size?

I have no clue how they figure it out, but I was a party of 1. For Nov. 2009, I booked it within a day or two of it being available to book. They gave me a table right in the front by the railing! :thumbsup2 I figured I scored such a good spot by being solo, and by celebrating my birthday. But who knows, really.

I booked this for our October trip last year the first day reservations were available. We were probably the 2nd or 3rd table in the front.:cutie:

We've gone twice, and it seems like the smaller groups are the ones closer to the railing, but that may have just been how it turned out the times we were there. I'm not sure they'd actually purposely plan it that way :confused3

Does anyone know if the dessert party will be available on the 4th of July? I heard rumors that they will not have it.

We did it on July 3 in 2009 and (to this day) it was the BEST Disney decision I've ever made! :thumbsup2 The Magic Kingdom was CRAZY crowded. People were smashed in like sardines for Wishes. There was pushing, shoving, strollers getting tipped over, it was nuts! We were taken through the back entrance (turn by the hat store, go behind the Main St shops and come out near the restrooms at Tomorrowland Terrace.) We had so much space around us, we had lovely desserts and drinks, we got great pictures, and we weren't smashed into a thousand other people in 100 degree heat :worship: It was amazing!!

When we go with only two people, we've been either at the railing or the second row from the railing, facing the castle....once though we placed right next to the podium. UGH...not a great view or seat.

Thanks we are big sweet eaters so I can only imagine how YUMMY it is!

I've gone twice as a party of two...

Once I was seated in the back (Registered late) Once in the very front corner, closest to the castle (Registered early)

Not sure if that's a coincidence or not!

Just called to try and book for the beginning of May and the CM told me to call back next week or the first week in March, she was not sure when the May dates would open up...:confused3

I think it has been opening up the 1st week of the month, but I keep checking online every day anyway. :surfweb:

April dates did not open up on the first of the month (I think they only opened up last week) but keep checking every day, just in case! Good luck!

We went in Nov 2011 and Jan 2012, both times a party of 2, booked online the first day the reservations opened up and both times we were in the front row. :goodvibes

Last night I was able to reserve for 2 the first week in April. I tried for a larger number but could only get 2. I called WDW and nothing else was available. Good luck to everyone, it looks like fun!

Can I use dp to book WDP ressie? I am pretty sure the answer is no, but always good to make sure!! Thanks!
