Does anybody know why they only put a month or two at a time into the system? Everything else can be booked 180 days in advance. Seems not very customerfriendly.

As I remember, this buffet has been around for quite a while, so I don't think it's still in trial mode, where they would have to decide if they should continue it.

It is a good question but I do not think anyone has ever been given an answer about the "Why"? My own thoughts is that it is due to the fact that the park hrs (MK) are not finalized until shortly before as in the case of March, we just this past week saw changes in many of the closing hours for MK and going from the past around the middle of February there could be additional changes in the hours of all the park and also the addition of extra shows, parades. DHS we should see the addition of some 2nd shows of F! put on the calendar in February.

I thought for sure with the park hours changes this week for MK they would load the Dessert Party into the system.

Maybe this coming week, at least I hope so I am tired waiting.

The reservationist on the phone told me that Disney hasn't decided if they were going to continue it or not. It was kind of on a month to month basis based on popularity. Not sure if it's true or not but that would make sense that future months are not available yet.

I have been a little worried that because of Spring Break and Disney sometimes uses the TommorrowLand Terrace for Dinner during the busiest of times that it might not be available during March/April. No Idea if the party ran last year or not

Going to just think positive that they will have it or else I will have to miss seeing Wishes and I have yet to see them having missed them in 2006 and 2009.

I made a ADR for 'Ohana so we could see the fireworks from there but then DH did not want to go to 'Ohanas

I was at WDW last year the second week of March during our Spring Break. It was extremely crowded since Mardi Gras was also that week. The Dessert Party was available and I was there to enjoy it

From what I've seen the Dessert Party is popular and sells out...or atleast I think it does. I can't imagine not having it.

I just want to know one way or another. I will be extremely disappointed if I have spent this much time checking to see if March has opened yet and they decide this late in the game to not offer it.

The CM I spoke with earlier this month said that new dates should open at the end of the month. I hope she is correct

Narcoossees at the Grand Floridian is also a nice place to watch the firework. And their food is delicious as well.

I have never heard anyone mention being able to get a discount for the Dessert Party with either AP, TIW or DVC. I know the DP can not be used for it.

You do have to pay for it when you book it but it is 100% refundable, this I know since I had it booked for this past October when we had to postpone our trip.

Hi all I have decided to add on another park day (we will go to MK late afternoon) and my oldest dd really wants to do the dessert party...her younger sisters are doing BBB and I thought this would be a great surprise for her! Now just waiting for March to open up. I'm specifically waiting for March 9th.

Still nothing yet. I have CRT booked as a backup but I wanted to do this as something special and different (and less expensive) on my surprise trip with DD for her birthday. But when/if I get an ADR for the dessert party I think I will cancel the CRT I have for that night.

DD and I both have a serious sweet tooth where DH doesn't at all and I wouldn't want to load DS up on sweets so its a great chance for DD and I to try something we would love since its just the two of us.

I have seen them being loaded around noontime and also later afternoon since I have been following this thread so when I rememeber I try and check multiple times during the day.

I will say I did forget to check the day they loaded Oct into the system but thankfully I was alerted to the fact by this tread.

Normally the calendar will show the dates the Party is available for such as in the case of when the Halloween Party is, those nights there was no Dessert Party and the dates did not show on the calendar. The time will normally just show up automatically which tends to be 1 hour before the Fireworks, you might also find a time 10 or 20mins after the hours showing up as available for your party size.

Not really if you look at the dates in the past(page 1) that the Party became bookable. The released February quite early a few days after releasing January but most of the time it is about 6 weeks before the start of any given Month.
