I have a DD15 and DS9 and showed them pictures of it and they are so excited. Then I told them they will get to see tinkerbell and got even more excited.

Don't forget to wear your lime green mickey head!

This is our first dessert party and we are both really looking forward to it. DD never knew Tinkerbell was a real person. I hope we get to see her fly fingers crossed.

I'll have my LGMH on my bag. I can't believe our trips are almost here

They released the December dates on 10/4 and the November dates on 9/6, so you'll probably be able to book Feburary's dates sometime the beginning of December.

Oh, and when they opened up the Dec. dates last week, they did it late morning/early afternoon, so be sure to check throughout the day if you want to be one of the first reservations.

Not to be a downer, but I would definitely talk "up" the other parts of the party to your kids. The chances are slim that Tinker will not fly, but it does happen. And I would dislike for your kids to be upset and have that ruin the party for them.

We (DH and I) use the following to pump up the kids about the party..

Unlimited sweets and we talk up each of their favorites. DS is a Mango Shooter junkie and DD loves the huge chocolate covered Strawberries.

We make each party a special night for one of the kids. One time it will be a special party for DS's bday, next time DD's bday. (We have been often, if you are going once, name it something special that includes both kids) and really stress that this party is for those reasons. It is quite small compared to other Disney opportunities, that my DS really believed I booked it for him only and only a certain number of people can do this each night.

No waiting 2 hours for the Fireworks... Not sitting on a curb, no tall person 3 seconds before the fireworks start.

FAMILY TIME. Photopass pictures with the castle behind you, and you can hear each other over the table having a conversation.

I am sure you can also find more that fit your family. I know my kids were very disappointed that Tink did not fly the last time we were there, but we made sure to remind them of the other stuff.

Have a GREAT, GREAT time!!!

Friends and I would like to go on Dec 30th, and I have been operating under the assumption that the 30th and 31st have not yet been released.

Then it dawned on me that it's possible they were released and sold out.

Does anyone know for sure which is the case? I think I'm going to make a reservation for earlier in the week, and then move it to the 30th whenever it opens up.

DH and I are celebrating our 25th anniversary with a December trip to Disney. One of the things he really wants to do is the Dessert party. I couldn't get a ressie for 2, so I booked the phantom 2 year old since I could get a ressie for 3. Seems crazy to do it that way, and I hate to be dishonest, but it is one of the things we really wanted to try. I know there's no charge for the toddler (actually been charged already for the 2 adults), but will there be a problem when we show up with just the 2 adults? Do I just say the baby's not with us or what??? I'm afraid if I call ahead of time to say we won't be bringing a baby, they might take our reservation away! Any thoughts?

From reports it looks like they have not been released yet. Speculation is because the New Year's plans (thus fireworks schedules) have not been released yet. I'd keep checking back though as popular as that night may be, I'd probably book the earlier day as well just in case.

From following along on the thread I think lot of people have called and cancelled their "toddler" with no problem.

Thanks. That's been my presumption, as it's exactly what happened in July -- but then I realized I hadn't been checking as neurotically as I was then and perhaps I missed them entirely. :)

ETA: All booked for the 27th! Fingers crossed that we'll be able to change to the 30th to escape the madness. ;)

As far as I know they have not been released yet. I have been watching and when December went up, the 30th and 31st were still not available.

Hopefully you will be there on the 30th and me on the 31st:woohoo:

Just an FYI - there was nothing showing online for the dates I wanted - so I called and there were plenty available.

So, I've seen a few posts about people booking the dessert party for a third toddler when the cant get a reservation for two. My question is, has anyone actually gone through with this? Did it go okay, or we're you given a hard time by a CM at check in for it? Any info is appreciated.

Thanks,
Jennifer

I have been stalking the site to get a ressie the last night of our trip. It is actually only offered 2 nights of the 8 we are there. Never thought I'd want to do this since DH doesn't eat sweets, but then thought it would be a nice way to see Wishes our last evening. Of course it is full.
I have noticed that there are sometimes spots w/in a day or 2, so I think as we get closer maybe someone will decide to cancel right outside the cancellation window. Is it 24 or 48 hrs prior?

It's a 24 hour cancellation policy:goodvibes
