Wishes Dessert Party ADR Watch Thread #3-book @ 180 Days Now!

I'm so bummed/confused by all the different information. But also So glad to have these boards so we can all keep each other informed and not feel completely alone in my frustration. We are looking for the 13th and I can't believe that if we had our trip just a week earlier I could have booked @ 180+10 out and could have slept in the past two weeks. Thanks to everyone for sharing what they know about this mess.

Just spoke to the most helpful cast member yet. She put us on hold and spoke to guest services. The reason September is on hold is because they are "doing something to the area of the terrace/hub"
The manager has put a "lock" on September dessert party. She also told us that 6 reservations have been made for the 7th September, but these guests will be called back to say that their reservations do not actually exist?

I'm one of the guests booked for Sept 7, and I haven't been contacted yet. When I booked, the later time slot was the only one available. Wouldn't that indicate that there were more than just a handful of other reservations? If my reservation doesn't actually exist, the payment I made better magically be credited back to my credit card.

I'm not sure, she just told me that the slots that were booked had been booked in 10 minute increments for some reason and that this was odd as this was not normally how they are booked that's when she put me on hold to ask guest services for a while as this was the third or fourth person she had had on about the same thing today so she wanted to find out.
Just passing on what i was told. She specifically told me that 6 reservations were on for 7th September and that these reservations would not be honored at the moment and that they will be contacted

Interesting.....does this mean that the party won't happen during the month of September at all? The phrase 'on hold' implies to me that the hold will be lifted at some point?

The CM did say it's still worth checking either online or by calling, but just looks like at the moment it's all up in the air due to the hub work going on

I really do appreciate you passing along this information! It will be interesting to see how everything plays out. I'll be a little disappointed, but it won't make or break our trip. I think I'm going to make a dinner reservation in case this doesn't work out for us.

That's really disappointing. I really wanted my girls to see Tinkerbell fly overhead. Is there a spot we could stand to watch and still see her? I was really looking forward to the desserts

I went into "My Disney Experience" then clicked on "Find a Table" under Make Dining Reservations. In that area I just searched by date and chose 9:00 as my search time. All the restaurants available come right up. Searching by restaurant and then using the reservation window to the right does NOT work. The days are grayed out.

Thanks so much!! Just used your advice and got a reservation for 7/16!!! Been trying to book this forever!!! Thanks again!!!

I'm going crazy trying to book this! I've literally stayed awake till after midnight, because I understand the bookings are released after 12, with no luck; it's not open at 12:10, but then the next morning, there's that blue date mocking me with no tables open. How the heck does anyone actually book the dessert party???

It seems really complicated! I had always gone straight to the dessert party and then tried booking and/or calling reservations with no luck. This time I followed the directions posted on the board and also did it from my laptop as for some reason it would not work from my mobile devices. Good luck!!!!

Does anyone know if they offer the dessert party during the Halloween party? I'm seeing conflicting information. I read that some people booked this during the Christmas party.

Since we are going in October (all adults) and won't be trick or treating, this would be a great alternative in addition to MNSSHP.

I have done it during the MVMCP, in December 2012.

For people trying to book in September... Have any of you been given this for a response... The dessert party has been booked by corporate businesses for all of September. I told the CM I have called every day for 3 weeks and have never been given this reason for the date not being open. The CM stuck to her explanation. I asked for a supervisor so she transferred me to guest relations. I told that CM what I was told today vs. what I have been told on previous calls. She put me on hold for a few minutes and advised me the date had not been released yet, and was unable to be booked. I asked about a corporate party booking the date and she told me she wouldn't know anything about that. This response concerned me, so I asked- how can the 1st person answering the call for reservations know this information but someone in guest services knows nothing about it. Her response- she didn't know how the CM could know about a corporate booking. Than said tickets for MNSSHP had not gone on sale yet so dates could still change. This is in line with what other CMs have told me.

Just wondering if anyone else was given this explanation.

Planning our trip to Disney is becoming a full time job! The stress and frustration in dealing with ADRs and fastpass + let alone trying to find discounts on rooms and/or free dining. Waiting on the phone for CMs to find information. Fighting with the MDE app all hours of the day and night!

It's all becoming an obsession and I would think I am a CRAZY except I come to the DIS boards and realize if I am nuts about my determination to make it all work then I am not alone !

Nope, I was told it was because of the Halloween Party.

I just called this morning and was told Sept dates are being held back until they confirm the dates for Halloween party. However I have seen park hours for Sept. And even Oct. already and I would assume the party is scheduled for the nights the park closes at 7 pm!

Thanks everyone. I was starting to think I was crazy. I have also been told they are waiting for the finalized schedule for the MNSSHP before they open up the rest of the September dates.
