Wishes Dessert Party ADR Watch Thread #3-book @ 180 Days Now!

On the WDW website, it makes it look like you can attempt to book the wishes dessert party up to 6 months in advance. They let you choose those dates, but then it tells you a table is not available. Should I just assume that they really don't open booking until 60 days in advance and the calendar on there is wrong? Also, I am interested in booking mid-week during a non-peak time in January...do I really need to be frantic to get this booked? Or will there more than likely be openings?

I made reservations for the party in 2012 in spring, and maybe I just got lucky, but we just thought of it, called one day, and were able to get the day and time we wanted. Has something changed since then? Or did I just accidentally call at the exact right time?

Any advice is appreciated.

Does anyone know if 12/30 & 12/31 open up the same time as the rest of Dec. I have read that those two days cost $$ more. Anywhere to find out how much they are?

I see from the beginning of this thread that in 2011 the entire month of Dec. opened at once but 2012 only shows Dec1-29 opening and nothing about Dec. 30 & 31... Wondering what's going to happen with this!

Please help me!
I want to reserve for Tomorrowland Terrace Dessert Party for december. I called Disney and they said that there is no more table. On the internet there is no place. I will want to register for the 26/12.
Could you help me please? I´m feel unhappy because I am preparing this trip many months in advance and I have not luck.

Thanks.

Dec is not open yet. Do not trust the CM that you talk to. Just keep watching this thread and if you pay close to this then you will know when the party opens up. Expect Dec to open up around the last week of Sept to the first week of Oct. Don't worry you have not missed anything!

When we did the dessert party most people didn't stand. I was thankful for this because my boyfriend uses a power wheelchair and I was worried that people would stand and block his view.

They all stood when we were there, but if someone was in a wheelchair or scooter, we would definitely have allowed them an open view. I hope others offer the same courtesy to you and your boyfriend!

What are prices for week of Christmas? .........Adult & children please. Wanting for Dec. 24th, can't find them online disney site (unless I over looked it).

Looking at site, it seems you don't know the cost until you reserve. I will be trying to get Dec.24 also, good luck, hope to see you there!

Yeah, I checked the site as well. No prices, I was just wondering how bad I was breaking the bank. ;) The only bad thing with us, is my husband isn't a sweet eater. I don't know what's wrong with him....:rotfl2:
Is this your 1st time doing the dessert party? I can't wait....this is our 1st trip to WDW. It's a Christmas Surprise for our kids!:santa:

Found this on a site. Yes this will be our first (hopefully) wishes, have heard only average reviews but I think it will be worth it to see the night entertainment. Wow, first trip, how will you tell your kids? When I surprised by dd I did a little scavenger hunt and the last was a paper with mouse ears on it. She didn't get it at first, but her face was priceless when she did understand.
The Tomorrowland Terrace Wishes Dessert Party is scheduled (almost) nightly at Magic Kingdom. Above is the crowd you wont be jostling with for a viewing spot if you wish to fork over the $25/adult and $13/child for the Party. The price varies based on date and they wont tell you how much it costs until you try to book. On this particular night, two adults and a child cost $64.97 with tax. Unlike regular dining reservations that open up 180 days in advance, the Dessert Party isnt available until about two months in advance. When dates do open, its typically an entire month at a time. You can follow this thread on the DIS, which should keep you up to date on when Parties become available for booking. The number to call is the usual 407-WDW-DINE (407-939-3463).

Called again and pretty much got the same answer from the CM. Disney usually opens the Party between 60 and 90 days out, not open for booking yet. I'm surprising a granddaughter with a drip to Disneyworld for Christmas (Dec. 25-30) and this is one thing we haven't done before. I've gotten all my other ADR's and I'm just waiting on this.

Watch for December to open the last week of September:) Desserts party usually opens in the afternoon to late afternoon, not in the morning:)

Yep 1st trip, not yet sure on how we will tell the kids. Been waiting for they liltle to be the right age to remember their 1st trip to WDW. Too many ideas, WDW isn't our 1st stop...Seaworld is. So that may help keep it a surprise a little longer. :rolleyes1
Thanks for all the information on TLDP. I wish both of us luck of getting ADR for Dec. 24th!!!:santa: Hope to see ya there!!

We did NYE (Dec 30, but the NYE fireworks) in 2011 and I think our price approached $50/pp. They did have a cheese buffet & maybe some sort of meat (I'm veg but I vaguely recall a guy carving something rofl) to compensate a bit for the jacked up price. A bit. ;)

Be cognizant that on the 30th/31st there are two sets of fireworks (Holiday Wishes & Fantasy in the Sky) and there may be two dessert parties, so make sure you reserve the right one. :)

The above poster is correct, I have information listed on page 1 in regards to the Dec 30 and 31 Dessert party in 2011 as a reference only and subject to change

What are the odds are someone canceling? lol

On our last trip, I scored a dessert party for 4 within 2 weeks of arriving. So it does happen! :)
