Wishes Dessert Party ADR Watch Thread #3-book @ 180 Days Now!

I booked an additional dessert party when I thought mine was getting canceled. Now that I know it is not being canceled, I would like to get rid of my additional reservation. The reservation that I need to cancel is on 12/10 at 8:30pm for 2 people. It is a MVMCP night. Please let me know if you are interested.

I just heard about dessert party. This is our first trip to DW. I went to the link on the first page that points to the Disney Website reservation. I thought I'd try to see if there was anything for 12/11 (probably too late). But the site says to call WDW Dining number. There is no way to book this online. Is this a glitch or you can only book this via the phone?

We booked ours online. When you go to the website, click on all dining. Then click on Tomorrowland Terrance Dessert Party. When you put in the date, be sure to click on the scroll down menu and click on Tommorowland Terrance restaurant.

I have been trying to stalk the site for a ADR for the Dessert party for the beginning of January, for 2. I checked to see if there were any other reservations for the same week..and there are! Every night we are looking for, but for parties of 3! Why is it so difficult looking for a party of 2, but plenty for 3!!

Also thinking of canceling the Dec 12th one- but haven't totally decided on it yet- I have one for Dec 14 which I will keep for sure.

Are you still thinking about canceling the 12th? I need a spot for 2.

I want to surprise my sister. We are taking a last minute weekend trip before she goes back to school and then off to Spain for 6 months, so I'm trying to make our last trip together for awhile special. I also tried to do this in Sept with some friends, and we got rained out, so I'd love a second chance to actually see the fireworks part of the party which didn't happen last time.

Just book for party of 3, list one as an under 2 so you don't have to pay extra. Then, call and remove the extra person.

I would try calling. As an example, there were no times available online for Fantasmic Dinner Package at the Hollywood Brown Derby, but I called and was able to get the date I wanted, no problem. Dessert Party will be much tougher to get, I would think, but try calling. You never know! Good luck!

I had the same issues with booking for a party of 2. The only reservations showing available were for a party of 3. I called and told the agent this. In the end, she book my husband and I, and added an infant as the third person. I wondered if they would ask where the infant was when we got to the party. She said tell them they are with the babysitter!! :)

You can also just call back and take off the I fant.

In the Feb cancellations thread, I posted that I have a 715p Wishes Dessert Party reservation to give up for Feb 7, party of 3.

PM me if anyone here wants to coordinate to get it.

I was able to get my party scheduled for May 19 online. I can't wait!!!!

So what happens if the fireworks are cancelled due to rain? I have reservations for tonight and it has been raining off and on for two days now.....and the forecast for tonight has it at 30% chance for 10pm.

When we went in 2012 it was during a major Tropical Storm. I asked the CM about Wishes when we checked in and she said in the history of the MK the fireworks have only been canceled less than 5 times. Now I know not everything you hear is true, but sure enough, Wishes went on as the rain poured down. The MSEP was canceled, however. For the dessert party everyone stayed at their tables under the roof. We were in the from row and it was raining in sideways a little, but it wasn't too bad!

Would anyone know what happens when park hours are extended and fireworks are pushed back? We have reservations in March for 8:15pm for 9pm fireworks. Just read that the fireworks will now be at 10pm instead. I'm assuming we'll just come at 9:15 now, but dies anything "officially" change? ie: will we be notified out reservations are being altered??

I had the same thing happen to me for my December party. Disney called me and let me know the time of the party would be pushed back by an hour. The day after they called me, the time updated on MDE.

Sorry I didn't see this until today, but for future reference.

The fireworks don't get cancelled for rain, and the party goes on even if all you can see are the clouds. You pay for a dessert party, and you get a dessert party. No refunds.

Last party I went to, it rained the whole time. We'd see the fireworks leave the ground and head upwards. Then they'd go behind the clouds and you would hear them explode and that was it. It was a beautiful view of a cloud covered castle. But, it was nice to have a dry place to sit out of the rain for awhile. The rain is the reason I was hoping to book the party for my next trip. I'd love to actually see some fireworks along with dessert, but I haven't had any luck so far. Nobody seems to be canceling.

What time should I be shooting for when requesting my ADR for the dessert party? Does it open up two or three hours before Wishes? How early is too early, and how late is too late? Thanks!
