Wishes Dessert Party ADR Watch Thread #3-book @ 180 Days Now!

What time should I be shooting for when requesting my ADR for the dessert party? Does it open up two or three hours before Wishes? How early is too early, and how late is too late? Thanks!

The Party begins 1 hour before the start of Wishes.

They just assign a time to all reservations. Wishes starts at 8 pm on my date and my party ADR is 7:20.

Also worth noting I had to make two separate reservations (someone else in our party decided they wanted to join about a month after we made the original reservation) and they are both for 7:20 so I'm pretty confident it's just a generic applies to everyone time.

Seeing this thread so inactive is sad!! I have a reservation for December and I am wondering if I will need to show my credit card that I booked when I check in? I know this is a new policy but I am not sure if it was in affect when I booked the party (October) Any help is greatly appreciated!

I know! I was thinking that last week. This thread used to be so active and full of people hoping to get their ADR. There was so much comradery, but I guess it's better now that people don't have to stress!

We just did the party last week and we didn't have to show anything. They just took our name, checked their list, and seated us!

Awesome thanks! I know I miss the activeness of the thread and the excitement of seeing people get this reservations! Every month I would be so happy when a new month would open and seeing how excited people got! SJS thanks for putting this thread together this was the main reason I joined the Disboards!!

OP Here I miss the anticipation and the excitement when Everyone would post they had booked each month too but is is good that you can now book @ 180 Days

They go pretty quick. I know for the day I wanted when I booked at 180+10 within a few hours after online opened most were gone, except for those with small parties and there were none at all within a day or two of my booking. I was glad I didn't take time to "think" about it when I saw it pop up that first morning. ( since its a pay at time of reservation one)

Awww man, this thread helped me so much when I was planning my mother/daughter trip this past May. Because of you guys I was able to find out as soon as the party opened for our trip and we got a GREAT table. I started planning this trip late (was not sure if we were going to be able to go or not), and now there are no ressies available my entire trip. I was looking forward to sharing that with hunny I thank you all for all the help you guys provided. My mom and I enjoyed it a great dealGood luck to everyone!!!

There in lies the bad side of the party now booking at 180 for any late planners. So sorry you were not able to get a reservation for your upcoming trip.

I think if there is any chance you might be booking a trip make a reservation you can always cancel it later for a refund, I have done that in the past with other hard to get ADRs if my plans were not set yet.

Do I need to show the credit card I booked with?
And lastly, our reservation is at 8:45 pm. Is that the exact time I should show up? What is the best time to get there? It's a party night so I don't want to be too early, but I also want to show up in plenty of time to get our desserts and enjoy them before Wishes.

I left a cc# to secure the reservation, but was wondering if you can use a table credit from the dining plan and then they would reimburse the card? Looking forward to it so much!

You can arrive whenever. Feel free to ignore your time. If you wait until right before the fireworks start some of the desserts may be picked over. They started clean up our night about the time the pre show started, didn't take it all away or anything, but stopped brining more.
