Wishes Dessert Party ADR Watch Thread #3-book @ 180 Days Now!

Thank you for posting this. I just booked Christmas Eve too!! :santa:

You're welcome:goodvibes One of my happiest memories was sitting on the curb on Main Street, across from the Main Street Bakery eating giant cinnamon rolls with all 6 of our children. It was so magical. DH and I have done the dessert party once, and it was so awesome. So this trip there will be 14 of us. Me, DH, dd 7, dd 13(her birthday is Christmas), DS , and his fiance, DS who is going into the Marines next summer, DS and DIL, and their new daughter who is just coming home from Ethiopia, DIL's parents and DIL's brother.

It will be a magical Christmas Eve to remember:goodvibes

Several have complained about having to cancel dinner adr's to book the dessert party. But, apparently if you call they can double book you for dinner and the dessert party. It just won't work online.

That's good they realize that conflict now. The phone reps wouldn't do that for me a few weeks ago when this issue first started.

However I did get one for the party night, and I'm still pretty sure I'm okay with doing the desert fireworks on a party night. (Am I okay with it? I still feel like it could be a waste of party time... But others have said it's a wonderful way to enjoy the fireworks outside of the crowds... )

I would pick a on party night. I love all the little extra things to do on a party night and for me personally would not want to waste any time. Plus you get the free cookies, apple slice and hot chocolate all over the place when you need a little treat. I would book a non party night if it was me.

I too already had an ADR for LTT on 12/26, called and was able to book the dessert party as well. Both are showing up on MDE.

It worked that way for us. CM on the phone booked our dessert party and we were able to keep the I-booked-on-line 5pm dinner for the same night. Maybe dining can go back and add at ADR for dinner for those guests who booked the party on-line.

I talked to a great CM this morning. She said the times on non-party nights will not be changing. She said that the time for Wishes frequently changes and they would have to call everyone scheduled for that night to inform them. This is the new procedure. They are using a more generic time and then telling everyone to check the times guide for wishes on your night and show up 30 minutes before. She was adamant that nobody will be cancelled. She said they received a memo from their supervisor saying this was the new procedure and the times will not be changed. I just booked the 17th and I'm ecstatic! :cheer2: It's our first time!

Fireworks on non party nites are the "Wishes fireworks" and fireworks on party nites are the special Xmas fireworks....which you have to have Xmas party tix as well as dessert party tix in order to attend.

I managed to get 610 for dec 15, I hope our table won't be too bad!

We have gone several times and just attended dessert party last Sunday 6/15 our reservation time was 9:15 and our table for 2 was up in front row...there are really no bad tables as most people do go up to rail to watch fireworks. We remained seated and although there were people directly in front of us we were able to see fireworks just fine. You are looking up in the sky over the peoples heads so it's really okay. Also they have plenty of desserts so there is no need to stand in the long line right in the beginning. People began lining up at the entrance about 30-40 minutes ahead of time but all tables are reserved with your name on a small card right on the table so there is not really a need to arrive early.

Just remember the fireworks on party nites are the Christmas fireworks and not the regular. "Wishes" which are shown on other nights. "Wishes" is wonderful I am just saying to be aware there is a special holiday version shown on Christmas party nites!

Hi all,

I've been stalking this thread but it looks like I've missed out on the 12/15! Never mind! Thinking about moving a few plans around to do it on another day, but I'm a bit confused about the timing. I'm looking to book Cinderella's Table at 3:50, then doing the dessert party later.

Do I just book the 6pm-ish slot then turn up a bit before wishes actually starts? So confused!

Correct. Book what ever time is available. Then what Cm's are telling everyone one is to check when wishes is scheduled on your party night and then be there 30 minutes before the show starts.

We had a party of 2 for 12/15 and there was something wrong with the system where it wouldn't let you search for 2 on that date even though there were seats available. After much ado we accidentally made two reservations (both of us separately trying at work) and will be canceling one in the next few days. There are definitely still seats for that date. Several people told us it was booked before we both managed to get in.

Was just able to book the NYE fireworks for 12/30!

Awesome, congratulations!! Do you by chance know if the party is still showing availability for Dec. 23rd or 28th? My 180 doesn't start until tomorrow. Thanks!

just called up and was able to book December 31 NYE!!!
it has a start time of 6:30 but agent said that will be changed.
