Wishes Dessert Party ADR Watch Thread #3-book @ 180 Days Now!

Hard to say if the CM info is right... you only need to read thru this thread for the past few months to see how many versions of information, or dates that change phone call to phone call, or even the difficulty in getting positive info on when parties will become book able - to see how often CMs are on totally different pages or reading from different scripts.

For those hoping to book, I hope the CM you spoke with is right. It would be a great way to bring in the new year!

NYE fireworks are run on both 12/30 and 12/31.

Now, I'm still not sure if there's a separate NYE party along with holiday wishes (which is listed here as at 7:30 but last year was at 8:30 and everyone is in agreement that 8:30 is the "correct" time and 7:30 can't possibly be right... Which I hope is the case! )

I just checked my reservations on MDE and all I show is "Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant Special" at 6:30pm. No holiday wishes or NYE fireworks distinction.

Trying to reserve the "Wishes Dessert Party" online with MDE for 12/30 or 12/31 says "No Times Available" as if it's not being hosted. (?)

My gut feel is that 7:30 is the correct time and something special is being planned those nights for the NYE fireworks...

I called and asked to book the NYE fireworks on 12/30. I was told that was what I booked and it was $50.05 per adult and $27.68 per child. When I looked it up on MDE it showed a time of 6:30pm. I called back and was assured that I had booked the Fantasy in the Sky NYE fireworks for 12/30. The CM said they had a "glitch" and that all reservations for 12/30 & 12/31 were showing up as 6:30pm regardless of which fireworks you booked, Wishes or Fantasy in the Sky. The next day I called again (to book something else) and asked the CM to check my dessert party reservation again just to make sure. I was then told that I do not have the NYE fireworks booked and that they aren't available. This CM told me I had booked the regular Wishes fireworks.
At that point, I hung up and had my husband call back because I was extremely agitated. The CM he spoke to said that the CM's had received an email on this subject which stated that all reservations for those dates were booked at 6:30pm and for us to check with our resort when we check in to find out what time to arrive. The CM said our reservation was fine because on the confirmation it clearly states NYE fireworks and that we paid for NYE fireworks, not Wishes.
I'm hoping our reservation is correct! Are people calling to book NYE fireworks on 12/30 or 12/31 and being told it isn't open yet?

I hope you got the right one, I want the NYE for 12/31 so bad but I have to wait until Monday. By then all the spots will be long gone.

That's odd because there is usually the "normal" dessert party for the Holiday Wishes and then later there is a 2nd dessert party for the NYE fireworks. I was also told by 2 different CM's that they were booking both! I really wish the CM's would all get on the same page and give everyone the same information.

We will be gone my NYE but we did book Christmas Eve with much the same angst. Here is how it went:
There was no availability on-line. I called and was told no-availability for 8:30. Because I read these boards, I asked CM to try earlier 6 or 6:30 - and lo, it was available. Then CM remembered some notice about this and wouldn't book it until she verified with a supervisor that she was booking the right thing for us. She came back, we booked it, times are showing funny all month. The official information was to show up for the party 30 minutes (she's crazy, right; we'll be there 45-60 minutes prior) before that night's scheduled fireworks time. She said we needed to (sounded like she was now reading from the official notice, now) check the fireworks schedule two weeks prior to our fireworks dessert party night and again on the night of our dessert party to ensure we would have the correct fireworks time.
I also had to link it to MDE a couple days after we booked it as it didn't show up on its own.
So, it seemed to show unavailable for any time on-line. Availability showed up only when call center searched on the odd earlier 6-6:30 time. No, the party is not that early - it's 30 minutes before the fireworks. I'm happy because I linked it to MDE and can see it. I'm not going to worry about the early time until later - I'm comfortable that it's a glitch for the month of December.

The times are definitely in flux for that month but there's some question about the NYE fireworks (which are NOT reservable on MDE if you're within the 180+10 window - They're not sold out - The dates are grayed out as if they're not happening that day!)

None AFAIK. When I went last year it was 9:30 and the rsvp times were anywhere from 8:30 to 9. I believe they stagger it to so everybody doesn't show up at one time but everybody's on the same list at checkin. ?

I just booked this morning for 12/30. I had to call and have 11:00pm ressies for Fantasy in the Sky. There is also a Holiday Wishes dessert party that night at 7pm for the 7:30 Holiday Wishes show.

I've been tempted a few times to book this one but I just can't imagine gorging myself on $27 worth of dessert. Obviously it's popular though. Is there anything I'm missing?

Sigh....I have sat here almost an hour trying to get my date to open but no luck. I will have to make the dreaded phone call. Any ideas why the 28th of Dec has not opened?

Mine is 6:30pm.

Got mine for 12/31 and I'm showing 11:05pm on my reservation page. The CM on the phone said there were 2, 1 at 7pm (wishes) and the other at 11 for Fantasy in the sky. The first time I called the CM scheduled me for 6:35pm, I booked it then called back and spoke to a different CM who said I was booked for the Wishes and she moved my reservation over to Fantasy and gave me the 11:05pm check in time.

It's not so much the dessert, but the less crowded viewing spot being reserved. The desserts are secondary I think.
