I'm waiting for August too. Shooting for August 13th, ideally, but could take August 14th or 15th if can't get first choice.

You all will hate me but I am hoping the dates don't open until after June 6th. I work for the school and our last day is June 6th. Then I will be home all day and can stalk the computer all day long! lol

I just think that someone randomly decides when it's time to open the party. Like, in the middle of his/her day, the thought pops in that it's about 2 months away so they might as well open the reservations. Lol. I don't think it ever opens first think in the am...

They don't open up the phone lines for 3 more minutes, so we still have a chance this morning!!!

If you look at the first page of this thread, you'll see that they haven't opened it first thing in the morning. It seems to always be at random times during the day.

This is your key word!!! Last year when I got my resrevation, it WAS opened first thing in the morning. You never know and it doesn't hurt to check!! And yes, I have read THE ENTIRE thread--I've been waiting for this for some time!!!

You better watch out!! Pretty soon you could turn into a crazy stalker just like the rest of us here!! Since my trip was originally planned for May, I have been stalking this thread since about a month and a half or so BEFORE that. When my trip plans changed, that made me all stalkerish and hyper all over again--but for August!!

Now how could a bunch of Disney-crazed folks, in a hoard on one certain thread, constantly checking, rechecking and checking again--stalking, if you will--an inanimate object such as a DESSERT PARTY RESERVATION be a BAD thing???

They usually don't open this on weekends, right? We are anxiously awaiting an August opening but I won't be able to call this weekend. I'm praying they open it Monday! But I wouldn't be mad if it was tomorrow either (;

As a previous poster said, it is random, but I've never heard of them opening it on a weekend. Doesn't mean it can't happen, but I think the chances of it happening are almost nil.

Gosh, I hope that it doesn't! I'm not as attentive on the weekends (though I still check!). Here is the post where they have some of the earliest historical listings of date and time of opening:

When August does actually open, what is the best way to make a reservation? Calling or doing it online through My Disney Experience?

Ok so I'm not too sure where to ask thus question and had no luck on a different thread soooo I'm gonna post here. I have read that there are photo pass photographers at the dessert party. Do we need to purchase photos pass + to get these pictures?? I know the plus given you the dinjng and ride pictures, right?? Where can I get the photo pass + if I want it in advance to save the $50 and do they take gift cards?? Soon many ??? Any info helps!! 19 days to our trip. 23 til dessert party!!!

You do not need Photopass + to get pictures from the dessert party, you can just get a regular photopass card. You can then purchase individual prints of those, or have them added to the photopass CD if you get that.

Or you can preorder the Photopass+ for $150 (which will include a photo CD of all pictures, as well as ride photos and dining photos from participating restaurants) here:

There is a PP photographer there and they get some AWESOME shots with the Castle in the background!! But, its not like Chef Mickey's or CRT where you get a photo "package". Its just a regular PP photographer and therefore you don't need PP+ to get the pics. They will put it on your regular PP.

If you order PP+, you need to do it 14 days prior to your trip (although some posters have said they have gotten it sooner than the 14 days) in order to get the discount. Here's the link to order PP+: http://www.disneyphotopass.com/specialoffers/wdwppp.htm

I don't know if they take gift cards, but you could probably find that info on the website. Hope this helps!! Have a WONDERFUL time!!
