I hope I am posting this in the right place, but what is the best reservation time if the fireworks are at 8pm? 7pm, 8pm or 9pm???

It doesn't matter which time you choose, you will only be allowed admission to Tomorrowland Terrace one hour before the fireworks begin and all of the tables are pre-assigned. I think the only reason they split up the times is because of how the computer reservation system handles dining reservations & capacity.:goodvibes

Oh, okay! I didn't know that (this is our first visit, so I don't know a lot of things!!), thank you!

Well, I guess it doesn't matter anyway. I just noticed that they had dates available for November (I don't recall them being there before), but there are no reservations available.

Don't be fooled by that either. The on-line ADR system works really well - EXCEPT for the Fireworks Dessert Party. Pretty much all other ADRs open up at 180 days +10 for resort guests. The Desset Party opens more-or-less 60 days in advance. You just have to keep checking back.

Calling may work better than on-line for the actual dates. CMs can often tell you whether the Party is going to be offered on a specific night long before they can actually begin taking reservations for that night; at least that can help you plan your other meals because you do NOT want to have a dinner less than 4 hours before the Party. It's just too much food.

Many CMs will still give you an invalid ADR time for your Party; again, they are stuck with what the computer says. There is 1 Party per night and it starts 1 hour before that night's fireworks. Go to the Terrace and check in 10-15 minutes before the Party is due to start. Have your whole group there. You all get wristbands and then, at the 1 hour mark, they quickly seat all the checked-in groups so you can start grazing the dessert buffet. Enjoy!

Thank you so much! I'm going to give them a call and see what they say. I have no idea what I'm doing, so you have been a huge help!!

I'm calling for a date in mid December and as of last Saturday, the CM said they are accepting dates for September. I'm going to keep calling every 3-4 weeks...I love the hold music, what can I say, :rotfl2:and it makes me feel so much closer to our Christmas in Disney! My dream ADR is right before WISHES so we can enjoy the show from that vantage point (we've seen it from about every other one in the park, and from the Poly and California Grill):lmao:I'd love to see Tink fly right over our heads:worship:Here's hoping for some magic:wizard:

Oh wow, so I may have to wait a few more weeks to call then? I've heard that the dessert party isn't the "best" viewing of the fireworks, but it just seems like it make it a little more special, so I'm hoping to get a reservation for it!!

Again, the one and only ADR time is for the one and only party of the night. It does not matter what the online ADR computer tells you or what the CM on the phone tells you. If Wishes is at 9 and you show up at 7, you have to stand and wait until 8. If Wishes is at 9 and you show up at 8:45, you have just missed 3/4 of the party.

The view angle may not be "the best" but it's pretty darn good. And there is no one standing in front of you. And depending on where your table is, you *might* even be able to sit at the table and see it all from there! The only thing you really can't see very well is the Parade before Wishes. You are too far away AND the Main Street crowd is completely blocking the view.

In addition to Wishes, it is also an awesome place to see the Magic, Memories and You show that takes place 10 - 15 minutes before Wishes. Make sure to go refill your plate and your drink just before it starts. If you are going to move up to the railing to watch, tell the CM that you are still working on your desserts and that you want them left on the table (otherwise, logically enough, the CMs start to clean up while everyone watches Wishes). Once Wishes starts they don't keep restocking the buffet tables, but you can go back and continue to nibble on what's left for 10 - 15 minutes after Wishes is over. Which is a VERY good way to avoid the gridlock that otherwise develops on Main Street.

The party is a pretty frequent topic on this board. Search for some other threads about it in the last month or two and you'll get a number of photos and links to Dining Reviews with photos.
