Is it possible to make a reservation in order to view Wishes while dining at the California Grille?

at Cali Grille for Wishes is a favorite and one of the harder ressies to get. If you get one servers work to ensure your courses wait until after the show. People that dined at CG prior to Wishes can show their receipt and will be allowed up the elevator to view the fireworks from the balcony.

So, if Wishes starts at 8pm, what time should I try to get a reservation?

It will be pretty tough to time things to watch the show during your meal. No telling how long you will wait and where they will seat you. Only some of the tables are good for viewing the show.

I would recommend booking for 1:30 - 1:45 before Wishes leaving time to be seated (say 20 minutes) and time for a leisurely meal before going outside on the roof to watch the show. It is excellent viewing from outside.

We watched Wishes from the observation deck just last month (the one further away from MK) As previously posted it is an awesome view. Then as wishes was ending (10 p.m. that night) we were able to also catch the Electrical Water Pageant as well. This was our 3rd visit to CG and our first time seating on the far left of the restaurant (as you are facing GF). Both other times we were seated on the right. I didn't realize that the area on the left was so big. We were seated at a window but it was a side window and I had my back to it. So, we didn't really have a view at all and needed to watch from the observation deck. Previously we had a window seat with a great view of MK, etc. but we would have been better to do on the deck as the lights weren't dimmed in the restaurant and everyone left inside was so loud that you couldn't hear the music that was piped in very quietly. I tried to film part of Wishes that time (9-06) but mostly what I captured was the reflection of the room in the windows and the background noise. First time (9-05) the windows were completely covered with condensation so we had to watch outside anyway.

HTH.

I made our resvy 6 months out. It was awesome watching the fireworks from up there.

We always book 1 1/2 hours prior and go 15 minutes early for the rese.

Good luck!
