Wishbook Prices?!?!

I was just going through my wishbook and started to get extremely sticker shocked at the prices for floral, photography, videography, etc. I realize that these are all the Disney offered services, but how much more can you save by going with the outside vendors - like Randy Chapman, STVS, and other floral companies?? I priced out the centerpiece that I liked for 10 tables and it came to $4,500!! Videography for 6 hours with two VHS tapes was $1200, and photography for 6 hours was $2665! Not sure if I'm not being realistic about this or not, but I'd like to find out how much I can save by using outside vendors. Thanks for any help!!

Your best bet would be to contact each vendor directly, as Stan doesnt have the package prices on the website.

I know for me the Video did not work out a great deal cheaper, but i am having a DVD package. My Photography for 8 hours worked out about $800 cheaper than what i wanted with Disney.

As for Centrepieces/Table+Chair covers, i know several people have used Charming Events, i believe they do Floral also.

I worked out that i needed to keep the centrepieces and floral with Disney to meet the 10k minimum but im going to be having Stan and Randy for photography and Video!

You can save money by using different vendors, but just want to mention that if you go with Disney they will find a ways to fit your budget. We first got our Table and Floral price and it was well over 10k...I almost died (I did want lots of flowers and had no idea how much they should cost so i asked for everything)...But after talking to other florist and coming back again and again disney finally cut it down to where it needed to be...and they came out perfect. Also Disney was very good a suggesting different flowers that are cheaper and in season

I don't think the floral prices are too realistic. All of my floral for the wedding (4 centerpieces, votives, 1 altar arrangement, 7 BM bouquets, my bouquet, 6 corsages, 10 boutenniers, and the centerpieces for the cocktail reception) chaircovers, sashes, napkins, chocolate favors came out to about 3,000 all together, and i basically told her my colors and she chose all the floral, i didn't give her a budget.

Disney floral can be higher then outside vendors. We are going through right now cutting and reducing items on our floral proposal, because the price was INSANE!(Disney's) No, I don't think wishbook is a true representation of what you can get! Those are just examples of what they offer! They will definitely help you stay within your budget, so I wouldn't rule them out for floral straight away. Booking outside vendors can save you a lot of money, depending on who you get! Also, remember though, there are minimums that you must reach through Disney on your actual wedding day...so be careful of that! Contact the outside vendors and just compare! Good Luck!

Disney did all of our floral. The original price quote will send you into shock, but they are more than willing to work with you to get the look you want without spending a fortune. Our floral manager did alot for me! I also made things to bring to put on our tables, and we reused all of the floral more than one time. I used STVS for video and Randy Chapman for photos. I don't regret it and they are less expensive than Disney. Sadly, you never know who is going to photograph your event. You don't get to pick and you can't see their "samples" for me this was a once in a lifetime event and I wanted to have control over my memories! Stan is going to be offering a raw footage only version soon, where you can do the edit yourself. Quite honestly it is worth it to have him do the edit for me. Good luck, and remember some things are not mentioned as prices on the wishbook and some of the prices are a bit higher than what you COULD do.
