Brother and sister athletes, spring is right around the corner. Most of us are feeling the warm-up all ready. This is the time of year that magic is loose in the world, I know everyone on the WISH team believes in the magic.

We are all on a journey, we are healthy in mind and spirit, our bodies are coming along. We are becoming stronger and leaner and faster. Some of us just had to go into a holding pattern for a while till the weather turned so we could play again.

Lift up that chin and remember how special we all are, we are unique in all the world, we have taken responsibility for our own health and happiness, we don't need to be entertained. We look forward to tomorrow, for the next challange.

Join me in my happiness everyone.:)

I'd love to, but we have freezing rain and snow coming our way. :sad2:

PLease let me know what spring feels like! ;)

But this is the last of it. I had a chat with the groundhog. I told him if he didn't get his stuff together and warm things up we were replaceing him with a weather possum.

Dave:)

I will share in the excitement when I am out on the boat tomorrow. :cool1: :cool1:

Although it would have been nice if it had cooled off here for more than a week or two!! :lmao:

What Carrie gets I'll get, in fact I just came from the weather.com site to check on if I could sneak in a few miles tomorrow before the nasty weather crosses the state to me LOL

I say we just replace the groundhog with the possum now! Winter weather advisory? Geesh! All week I've been looking forward to this weekend, it started out earlier in the week looking so promising, I could have sworn there was a 40* day in there somewhere. Now it's going to be a high of 27* but sun for Saturday and yucky weather on Sunday.

BUT! I DID appreciate your original post, SOON the weather will break and we'll have clear paths once more with sun and comfortable weather that doesn't come with a wind chill ;)

Hope others are able to get in some miles this weekend. Enjoy!!!!

What do you think guys? Is the groundhog toast?

You are so right. Our weather this week has been beautiful. (sorry Carrie & Diane) we have had mid to upper 60's. PERFECT! I forgot how much I missed training outside.

While we may have a couple more cold snaps, I feel the end is near.
So I join you in your happiness Dave!:sunny:

Everyone find beauty in your life today, it's there if you look, really it is.

We are currently having sunshine (although I try to bring sunshine wherever I am), real sunshine! It's cold, we have a winter storm watch for expected stuff overnight in the ice and snow variety. It will melt though, yes it will.

DH asked me if I thought I was going outside today. Oh he knows me so well. I said I would give a drive by my place to look see. It will be soon for sure.

Dave, you are such a breath of fresh air and encouragement. I am so enriched that you are part of the WISH Team. Thanks for being here.

No Darlin it's Erica and I who are honored to be part of the team.

I just got back from my double super secret workout. Now it's time for a nap a nice lunch then off to work.

I loved what you said about bringing your sunshine with you, that is so true, people will mirror your mood. When you are happy everyone you meet will be cheered just because you are there.

Dave:yay:

HOpefully, Diane did not get hit as bad as us. It's very white out today. BAck to teh TM. TIme to get rid of teh ground hog. Then again, I live in MI. I don't start expecting weather above freezing until April. Anything before then is a bonus. The hard part is going back to the cold after a few nice days.

I'll try to be sunnier like Lily, though. ;)

Carrie just think of it this way, global warming is not caused by the Ozone layer but by how steamy hot all you gals are looking with your training for the races. Why do you think it was 85 degrees at the full this year, all you ladies together in one place just had to warm the whole state.

Dave:yay: :cheer2:

OMG! :lmao: You have to warn me before you post this stuff. I'm trying to be incognito at work! :rotfl:

Dave ~ You and Erica are a ray of sunshine during these gloomy winter days. Thanks  I'm ready for spring AND I would love to can the groundhog. I don't care whether he's replaced with a opossum, a beaver or chipmunk ~ bring it on!

Oh!?! ... what's that sound I hear!?! ... oh yea, it's sound of large snow removal trucks scraping the pavement and spreading salt and sand throughout the neighborhood. Hopefully, our mailbox is still intact. Here in Chicago, we just had a weekend of snow and ice storms. As much as I'm ready for spring, I just love the landscape after a heavy snowfall.

I can feel the warmth of spring in my heart, but I'll have to wait a few weeks before I can feel the sunshine on my face. :cool2:

DreamBeliever - I know what you mean about things looking so pretty after a snowfall. I woudl love it more if it did nto lead to TM runs, though. ;)

Maybe we should have a thread to get votes on the groundhogs replacement. I think bears are cool, but I think pulling one out of a cave to see it's shadow would probably not be smart.
