Wish they would have new character meals!!!

You and me both! I would love new character meals! I think that Tusker House should be the characters from Lion King, Pocohontas, Jungle Book etc....And Hollywood and Vine should be Pixar characters hands down!

ITA!! Perfect! :cool1:

Let us also not forget the Dad's here. From personal experience having had a hard time selling DH on Crystal Palace, and some of the other not so "hip" character meals, introducing new ideas would boost sales. The only two I can get DH to go to now is Tusker House and CM. I know for a fact DH would go to a Toy Story, POC, Incredible, and others mentioned.

I agree.

Personally I think there should be a few more character meals anyway but you can only drag DS's to the princess dinner so many times. You could easily do Tarzan/Turk/Flik/Baloo over at AK, and use toy story and the Incredibles at HS. I don't understand why not. Just think how many moms would book a POTC dinner...

LOL forever at RustyScupper's statement that "Girls don't like pirates."

ALL of the little girls in our family have zero interest in princessy type stuff, but they would be ALL OVER a pirate meal. And so would I! pirate:

Heh.. Just think if they had a Jack Sparrow that LOOKED like Johnny Depp how many mom's would be booking for..themselves. ;) That would be one hard to get into character meal! :lmao:

1) Boys don't sell, girls do.
2) Even if they sold to boys, it might turn off girls.
3) Thus, not well attended.
4) Been part of lots of conversations on the matter.
5) Just plain facts.
6) Ever hear of a prince breakfast?

NOTE:
Yes, they did have a villains meal.
They did consider a Pirates meal, but nothing came of it.
Girls aren't into pirates.

I'm with you.

There is a much bigger market for princesses/girl than boy meals.

Girls are always princesses in the eyes of their Parents for a very long time, Fathers particularly so.

Fathers will buy anything for their little princesses.

DD - "Daddy can I have this princess dress"

Father - "Don't you have 3 of them at home right now that look the same?"

DD, Looking up at Father with those eyes - "But Daaaaddy I don't have one with this flower on it."

Daddy pulls out CC and DD has an other dress.

Boys are in that Prince/Pirate/Super Hero stage for only a few years and I would say it stops around age 10. Girls are in their Princess stage until they are maybe married. :goodvibes

Sorry if this sounds harsh but I grew up with two older and one younger sister. :sad1:

I only have 2 DS's but I know if I had a DD I would probably do the same. :goodvibes

My wife would be first in line!! :lmao:

I think they need to do something with Hollywood and Vine - a Toy Story meal would be perfect!
Or.... a Phineas and Ferb meal!!

someone suggested WCC with woody - that would be great! Would be nice if they added a character meal there for breakfast - they're pretty crowded at dinner, so wouldnt see the need to add characters to bring people in there.

a Fairy meal would be great also.

But as for boys... only thing I could think of would be Toy Story that would bring in boys and girls.

I can't see a pirate meal being that popular, unless they had the characters dressed like pirates - how cute, chip & dale and mickey, etc in pirate outfits!

and when is hollywood and vine going to change characters and replace jojo and goliath (though goliath I admit is soooo cute!)

I would love to meet Buzz, "to infinity....:rotfl2:"
Maybe the release of TS3 may induce them to think on their feet??
Tracy

I think they for sure need to do one that is geared towards a boys interests. Woody and Buzz would be awesome. You could also have Jessie there. The Incredibles would be neat. Hercules would be awesome. My son loved Hercules! It would help keep the interest out there for some of these older titles. Movies in the vault are still worth a fortune if you keep interest in them lol. Peter Pan also was one of my son's favorites.

I have 2 DDs but I agree that they should add a couple of more CM's but I also think if it is just ear marked for boys like a pirates meal it would not last. I think Toy Story has withstood the test of time and would be a great draw for boys and girls for a long time. I also think a Pixar CM would also do well, this way they can keep rotating in the new characters as years go by and they are not tied down to just one movie theme.

Our DS would love something to do with Toy Story or Monsters Inc. or really anything like this. I wish someone from disney would just read the boards:lmao:I also think it would be a nice change for all of the Dad's out there too!:yay:

I think they should vary the characters a little bit..it just seems like it has been the same characters at the same meals (I know they changed at 1900 Park Fare a couple years ago.)
I'm tired of Pooh & Friends at the Crystal Palace..a rotating variety of characters:Peter Pan, Baloo, Pinocciho, Buzz, Jessie, Jiminy Cricket etc would be fun & exciting (because there would always be somebody new/different)

My daughter would LOVE a Peter Pan themed meal with Peter, Hook, Wendy and Tinkerbell. That would be awesome.

She'd also love a Toy Story meal. I agree with a PP that Toy Story has really stood the test of time and has universal appeal. That Hollywood & Vine character meal is sad. None of the kids know who JoJo and Goliath are anymore! Of course, I'd also vote to re-theme Sci-Fi into a Cars-type restaurant, but I'm probably the only one that would love to eat in a Mater truck!

I would have hated the Princess stuff when I was a kid. I would have loved Pirates though. I don't think that you can assume that all girls like Princesses. Of course, it seems that those that do have parents that buy them the stuff.

THAT WOULD ALL BE FAB! !!:cool1:My DD 7 would loove some more CMs, we are bored with the same old ones every year. Why not mix the characters up a bit ? We are having CM at the Hard rock and IOA this year. Not that Disney care, but we dont want the same meals EVERY YEAR fotr EVER!!! Even in Oct if they did a villians meal "special" or something that would be better.

My DD would love a pirate/Peter Pan themed meal too. In fact, when give the choice to do BBB or Pirates League on our next trip she promptly chose Pirate League.

I think that would be fantastic. I can't bear another Hollywood and Vine breakfast with JoJo and Goliath. My 6 year old know who they are but my 3 year old thinks it's just a clown and lion - since they don't have the show any more how can he know the characters.
