Wish me luck convincing DH to buy add-on!

This weekend is my big speech "Why we need to buy 100 BCV points-now!" DH knows I was hoping to buy 50-75 points at BCV eventually, but this will be a surprise. Making a list of reasons, like MB, sell-out, increase in cost soon. Any other ideas? He's out playing golf now-if only he knew how I'm plotting!

Seriously. From an OKW/VB owner - I can tell you FIRST-HAND how important that 11-month priority period at either of the EPCOT resorts is if you want to travel in early December.

If that time of the year is of any interest to you - remind him how you'll need those points for your early Christmas trips if you plan to stay at BCV!!

You could plan a romantic getaway with the additional points....

You could also plan to rent them out a couple of times to offset the cost.....

I think your best argument has to be the MB one. 75 points (like you planned to buy) at $84.00 per point is $6,300.00. If you buy just 25 more points than what you had first planned, it would cost $7,400.00 TOTAL. Thats like getting an additional 25 points for only $1,100.00. That is cheaper than points were when Disney first started selling DVC points. Those last 25 points are only $44.00 per point. Obviously you get the MB when you buy 100 points.

Now that is a good argument.

Best of luck. I can relate. My dh was very surprised when I asked for a BCV add on just a week after we closed on our OKW points. I wanted to add on before the price increase but we added 70 points (although I would have loved 100). I figured that was the maximum I could get dh to agree to and 70 points worked out to 5 nights in a studio during the summer or we could have 5 nights in a 2 bedroom every 3 years at BCV. Let us know how it works out. I hope we can welcome you home again soon.

He said "OK" tonight. Happy Birthday Cat, you must be an engineer like him-the MB "facts and figures" is exactly what worked. I told him if he hadn't agreed, I'd try crying-instead he shed a few tears thinking of the money he just agreed to spend!
