Wish lists of DCL surprises

Ok, here goes...

1) For the children, one bed-time character tuck-in per family per cruise.

2) Outdoor 20-minute chair massages for a reasonable price.

3) A "working" barbershop for men - not affiliated with the spa - to get a haircut and a shave.

4) Additional ice cream flavors at Scoops.

5a) A CM patroling each bank of elevators to control those adorable children who "never do anything to dispupt fellow cruisers.

5b) Establish one elevator in each section for handicapped ONLY.

6) Ban smoking on verandahs.

7) Open a "Mouse Hole" for tweens rather than having Common Grounds try to accommodate so many ages groups. "The Mouse Hole" would be a '50s-style luncheonette with board games, Knok Hockey, a juke box and such.

8) Set-up a kite-building stand/kite flying area on Castaway Cay.

9) Add a "super-duper extra-long thrills-and-chills teenagers-and-up" slide to the Goofy Pool.

10) Show some old-time classic movies in the Buena Vista Theatre, such as The Great Escape, To Kill A Mockingbird, All That Jazz... Not on an over-extended basis but perhaps like that vitamin supplement - one-a-day.

Grumbo,
It's not the ships themselves so much as the fact that we sail on the Wonder much more frequently than the Magic. It's become like our home away from home, and we've gotten to know a lot of people on the crew, so we always feel so welcomed there.
The ships are almost identical, but there are still some small differences. In a way, it reminds me of comparing Disneyland to the Magic Kingdom...close, but not quite identical. The Magic is a great ship, too, but we feel the most at home on the Wonder just because of all the time we've spent there.

I am deathly allergic to nutrasweet. I am waiting o hear from the medical people about this because I cannot have anything made with it. And most desserts for diabetics are made with it including the ice cream. I'm better off eating the sugar taking more insulin to cover.

I am also highly allergic to NS. Gotta love the Splenda, though. More and more stuff is coming out with Splenda instead of NS. There is a huge list at Splenda.com including sugar-free pie filling. (which I've had and it is great) Unfortunately, it is not sold west of the Rockies and I have to wait until someone in my family takes pity on me and brings me a case from Arvada. Hansen's Diet flavors also have Splenda instead of NS.

Great responses from everyone and Buckaroo's Dad- what a neat idea of one character tuck-in per family. Hard ice cream at Scoops and making Spa and Palo's reservations at check-in would be wonderful - Flounder's too. Soda for all is also a great idea too.

I like the idea of a "tweener's" club. I have no idea why Disney thinks that the high school set would want to hang out with the middle school crowd! And let's face it, I have concerns about my DD13 spending too much time with 17 yo "boys".

1.Something a little extra for those of us traveling single and paying the 175% upcharge for that privalege! Perhaps an upgrade when the ship is not full (does that EVER happen?)

2.Free soda all the time. Soda is so cheap even McDonald's gives free refills.

You guys have some great ideas, so hopefully DISNEY is reading.

(1) I vote to have dining assigments, Palo, Spa, Tea w/Wendy and even Shutters ressies included with documents. IMO it would relieve some stress upon boarding, allowing better planning for the week. ;)

(2) Be allowed to view, purchase your Shutters portraits via cabin TV and have them delivered to room.

3) How about a Senior discount like some other cruise lines.
LOL! :teeth:

(4) FREE soda anytime.

(5)Stop penalizing singles @ a ridicilous 175% rate.

For the children, one bed-time character tuck-in per family per cruise.
My grands would love this one, as would 4Nana, she has an autographed pillowcase too. ;)

Open a "Mouse Hole" for tweens rather than having Common Grounds try to accommodate so many ages groups. "The Mouse Hole" would be a '50s-style luncheonette with board games, Knok Hockey, a juke box and such.
Love it!!!
Common Grounds age difference is  !!!

By 10 cruises, get one free.
We'd be up to our third free one already!

You guys definitely deserve this one!:smooth:

Senior discounts sound good.

How about frequent cruiser points or discounts? You would get credit for each mile sailed. These credits could then be exchanged for discounts on your next cruise. (Actually, I'm pretty sure I read where one cruise line was thinking of doing just that.)

:)

GOTTA LOVE THE MOUSE HOLE IDEA!!!!!!

We are already preparing to book our 4th right before our oldest turns 13....... in two years. After that we will not be back till she is 16. That is the youngest we would feel good about letting her have free rein in commom Grounds.

ARE YOU LISTENING DCL????

In the beginning of DCL they indeed did have hard packed ice cream!!! The chocolate was yummy. I am not really a fan of what they serve onboard now at Scoops, but I do like the toppings!!

DCL should have a retractable pool roof that could close during inclement weather so people could still enjoy the pool!!!

MJ

I agree with eliminating the surcharge on singles.

Free pop.

Ice Cream at Scoops. I am allergic to yogurt and cannot have the treats at Scoops, well the chocolate chip cookies I can.

Making sure everyone gets an opportunity to have their picture with Mickey in the Captains outfit.

HOw about frequent buyer discounts in the shops. It's very bad when the CM's in the shops remember you from sailing 1½ years ago. I would say too much time spent in the shops.

My wish would be to take all the calories and fat grams out of the food so we could eat all we wanted and not have to worry about those extra pounds we find.

No worrys on vacation right auntie!!!!!! We are almost there!

I vote for tables for two in the dining rooms. I like to be alone with my hubby so I can have him all for myself!

Some of my suggestions are:

1. When you book your cruise get your dining rotation.

2. When you book - be able to make reservations for Palo, spa, Flounders, etc...

3. Offer Crystal Light - I personally am not a soda drinker and would prefer to have sugar free lemonade.

I really like some of the ideas that people have posted and think DCL should come up with a way to incorporate them.

Lisa

I like the idea of knowing dining rotation before check in. Just because I like to plan in fact maybe I plan too much. But I do relax and enjoy. I can also be flexible, which was necessary on the March 29 cruise.;)
