WISH Confusion

Greetings fellow Disers,

After checking the handy-dandy Fireworks/Parade schedule, I find myself confused:confused:
During Christmas week, instead of a time for WISH it says MVMCP. Does this mean no WISH or perhaps a different kind of WISH?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Lisa

Lisa,

I think that on the nights of MVMCP and MNSSHP they do not present Wishes, but the previous Fireworks Show. Maybe somebody who has attened a recent MNSSHP can confirm this.

No, the fireworks for MNSSHP were not the same as Fantasy in the Sky (pre-Wishes).

The MNSSHP fireworks included perimeter bursts. Fantasy in the Sky has never had this to my knowledge.

We saw both Wishes & the Halloween fireworks last week: both were different and were not the same as FITS.

I am also confused. The last day for the MVMCP is Dec. 19th (it says Wishes is showing that same night?), so how can they show MVMCP every night from Dec. 20th -27th??? Does this mean they will NOT be showing Wishes during that time? Majorly Confused here someone help - Please.

For this purpose, MVMCP means Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Parade. It will run in the place of Share A Dream Come True during Christmas week. The parade is at 3:00 daily, I think. Wishes will be shown each night during Christmas week. Have a wonderful time. Last Christmas was our first at WDW during that time period. We now plan to return every other Christmas as long as we are able. Christmas at Disney is pure magic!

MVMCP = Mickeys Very Merry Christmas Parade in this case. It is shown in the afternoon during Christmas week in place of Share a Dream. The schedule shows 2:00pm. Wishes is still shown at night.

I do not think this is correct.
MVMCP = Mickey's Very Merry Christmas PARTY
This is the Hard Ticket Event held on only certain nights in December, after the park closes for the "normal" day.

I "think" that on nights of the PARTY, Wishes is not shown, but the 360 degree Fireworks (all around the park).

During Christmas Week, the Christmas Parade is presented at the magic Kingdom and this should have no effect on Wishes Fireworks.

There's MVMCP = Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party which is a hard ticket event held during the first few weeks of December on selected nights.

Then there's MVMCP = Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Parade which is what they call the holiday parade that is shown at Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party AND during the day the week of Christmas in place of Share a Dream Come True Parade.

I was very surprised to see that they will be doing Wishes instead of the usual holiday fireworks at MVMCParty.

Celebrate the holidays with Santa Goofy and all your Disney pals! On selected evenings enjoy a magical night of holiday snow on Main Street, U.S.A., an enchanting parade, Disney Character greetings, special entertainment, family photos and tasty treats. The festivities take place from 7 p.m. to midnight and include Wishes™ our all new nighttime spectacular, plus unlimited use of the most popular Magic Kingdom® attractions. Separate admission is required for this event, and tickets sell out quickly, so book now or call (407) W-DISNEY (934-7639)†.

I found the above description at www.disney.com at: http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/wa...ts/parkeventindex?id=SEMickeysVeryMerryPrkEvt

Fireworks for MNSSHP were FITS with Special fireworks at the end. That is also what they used to do for MVMCP. I have heard they will do Wishes for MVMCP,but who knows?

The fact that they are showing MVMCP at 2:00pm on those dates indicates to me that they are referring to the PARADE, not the after hours PARTY. Wishes is also showing on the schedule for the evenings on those dates (Dec 20 to 31). The last MVMCP (Party) is Dec 19.

From looking at the website, it shows that they aren't doing Wishes, on the 12 nights that they are having Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. Do to the fact that they should be doing Fantasy in the Sky, with the Christmas Tag (perimeter fireworks), just like they did during the Halloween parties.

Well, time will tell. I took my quote straight from the Disney website under the description of MVMCP:

I've been to 2 MVMCP and 1 MNSSHP so I'm well aware of what they 'normally' do those nights for fireworks. But it seems from Disney's description of MVMCP that they may be doing Wishes instead.

I dont' care either way. I just find this all very interesting!:teeth: Of course, Disney could have made a typo in that sentence describing the fireworks!

... my brain hurts! I'm just going to go, and see what happens! LOL.
Mike:teeth:
