Good morning, sorry this thread is a day late getting started. Between homeschooling, working and fighting sinus or allergies, it has been one of those weeks.

I didn't make it to chat the other night, but did hear that it was a good one.

Today, my committment is to eat 3 reasonable meals and drink plenty of water. The exercise isn't going to happen today as I just didn't get moving as quickly as I needed to this morning to fit it in.

Anyone else want to announce a committment for the day and try really hard to stick to it. Remember it doesn't matter what others are committing to, this is a thread to help YOU stick to your committment.

Have a wonderful Wednesday:sunny: .

Hey everyone,

Good Wednesday Morning!

Today was FIRM Total Muscle Shaping and I even went back and rewound and redid a few sets of arm exercises where I had trouble doing that set with 10lbs. I went back and did the set with 8lbs and by doing that I challenged myself with the 10, and then really pushed myself with the 8's. My arms feel really strong and fatigued right now.

Yesterday I did Super Cardio Mix and I must have hyper-extended my arm doing jumping jacks because it was sore all day. Either that or using my new 4lb medicine ball made the shoulder muscle sore and doing the jumping jacks just really pushed the muscle. Luckily the soreness was gone today!

This week my committments are to continue getting up at 5am and exercising (I can't believe how good I feel afterwards and getting up that early hasn't been as bad as I thought it would be). Continue to strive to get at least 8 cups of water in. I re-read Bob Greene's -Get with the program and he said to drink 1 cup prior to working out and two after. Then to space the rest throughout the day. If you drink too many glasses at once it causes the body to get rid of it. It definately has helped because on Monday I was dying driving to work and yesterday and today I was fine since I cut back one cup prior to work. Now I am drinking only 2 cups after my workout instead of 3. I will also committ to ending my eating by 7pm (except Monday night Weigh-ins).

Tammy- Missed you at chat! Hope your allergies or sinus problems clear up.

Okay first - ohmom may check in tomorrow - youngest DD - Paige with JRA - having a switch in meds - my updated email says that it went well today (IV and observation at hospital for 23 hours) - so I say she is excused for a couple of days - may get a check in tomorrow - if not I will update again.

Talked to Evansmom tonight she is "computerless" this week - springbreak from school - sounds like she is really an exercise machine this week. Spent some of that contest winnings - on new shoes- good for her! Big shopping day to GAP outlet on Friday. And has been enjoying the week with Evan ;) Said that she is "grazing" a little more than she would like -but really trying to stay OP - overall I give her a committer's "A for her effort" - being that darn good on spring break!!!

And me, I have been exercising and staying OP - using flex points-can't imagine that I will have any left for our Easter dinner at the rate I am going ::yes::

Harder for me to get up and moving this week - I takes me a few days to adjust to the time change - it's 11:00 and I am still up - so then in the morning I want to sleep that extra hour. Working on making sure I drink enough H20.

WI was back at my infamous 155 - but I was okay with it - next Monday I am really back at it - to get the next 5 off before the Vegas trip - maybe another "short-term" contract in the making :p

I have been using some really really old Jane Fonda tapes and I love them - one is working with weights and other low impact aerobics (alot like WATP) but lots of different steps - not just 4 thats for sure! They are a much better choice for me - still babying my knee - so walking has really decreased, this past week.

Hi Everyone,
I did Super Cardio Sculpt and workout 1 of FIRM Abs today.

Molli- Sorry to hear your DD is in the hospital. Lots of prayers and hugs that all goes ok with her med change.

Evansmom- I bet your having so much fun spending your "winnings"!!

Bev- I am afraid I will not have any flex points for Easter too! Oh well, I am going to do the best I can this week and the two weekends that my Mom will be here. I'll just be happy if I maintain. I hope your knee gets better.

it's so nice to come here and read the thoughts :)

we are home -- Paige was a trooper and survived her anxiety of her very first ever IV :smooth: She will be having steroid IV over the next few weeks and that with a switch to Enbrel (pretty well known newer arthritis drug) I have high hopes and faith she is about to turn a big corner. She is very strong and brave and i'm very proud of her. In the midst of all that she made a thank you picture for her nurses and rheumatologist to show her gratitude in helping her feel better. (blink, blink)

anyhow -- I tried, semi-tried, I was gone all day yesterday and most of today. I actually packed a cooler and took yogurt with berries, water bottles, WW friendly sammich, coleslaw, etc. I planned but didn't bring quite enough and ended up having a piece of lemon cake yesterday and cheezits today. It was a long boring day in one room :hyper: I did read an entire paperback and purused through some WW back issues.

I'm regrouping tomorrow (including trip #2 to Childrens for second IV dose), family dinner saturday and then easter. My committment this week is to recommit Monday, with the enthusiasm of a new member for the rest of April.

I did do my WATP powerwalk Wed morning early but nothing today -- sleeping on two recliners outstretched and foot end to foot end, felt alot like sleeping in an airport!; I will do something tomorrow morning for sure!:wave2:

Ok, I've been working on not being sick and seem to be losing the battle. Although, I still can eat, I haven't done much in the way of exercising :( and I actually miss it! I have at least been choosing wisely all the food I consume so I know that is good.

('Cept today...we had ice cream cake! Mom turns 86 tomorrow! Had to have it.)

Weekend bakery will do me in, but I will not indulge as much as usual. I am committed to keeping that part in control.

Good luck this week everyone.

I haven't checked in for a long time. I'm still fighting whatever this illness is. I keep getting bounced back and forth between my gyn. and my primary care. I have abdomenal pain and back pain in my right side, and I also have some sort of UTI...bladder, kidney...?... they're not sure. I'm on my second course of cipro and am feeling pretty lousy. I've had an ultrasound and they didn't find any cysts, but I've missed two periods (I've had 8 pregnancy tests over the last two months, so we can safely rule that out). Gyn. says it's not a gyn. problem and primary was saying to go to gyn. for further treatment. I've had this pain occasionally for a year, but it has become more acute recently. They decided to do an abdomenal cat scan this wednesday so hopefully we'll have some answers. I haven't exercised in awhile, but I'm staying basicly (more or less) OP. I've actually lost another five pounds without trying. I'm not including them in my overall count because I know they could come right back when I'm feeling better. Even though I haven't been posting, I have been reading this thread and am inspired by everyone's commitment and progress. I'll try to keep you updated with any new information I have and hopefully I'll be back up to speed really soon. I have to start training for the 1/2 marathon soon or I'll be the first person they pick up on the bus.;)

Hey everyone-

I did Standing Legs, Upper Body and Workout #5 on 5 day abs today. Boy was that a tough workout.

I also got my Treadmill today.........FINALLY! The basement is still not finished, but its so slow going. I told him I was going to join a gym if I didn't get one NOW and well, I got my way!! I am so excited to try it. Its almost put together but DH had to run to the store before it got too late! Now I can start training for the marathon!

Twinsmom-sorry to hear your not feeling well. I hope they figure out whats wrong. I bet you are so frustrated. I am sending you lots of hugs and pixie dust!

Tigerlily-sorry to hear you are not feeling well either. There has been so nasty things going around. Sending you lots of hugs and pixie dust too!

Molli- Glad to hear Page did well and made it through the IV! Give her hugs and pixie dust for me for tomorrows dose.
