WISH Check in Week of June 1

I was saving my bouncing until the BF left completely. I didn't want to attract attention ;)

Actually, I just thought I would wait until I got back down to where I was before I went to WDW :teeth:

Katholyn,

Thanks so much for the affirmations. They are as much fun to read as everyone's successes and struggles.

Keep it up, I think we all love a pat on the back, and here's one for you!!!!!!!!!!

My DH is supportive, but I think he gets tired of me proclaiming my weight loss every morning.

This is the perfect place for me to check in. I look here every morning and post my weight to fitday.com so I can watch my graph drop down.

Thanks again,

Whoo hoo I am down 4 pounds since I started 5/28!! :D I can almost see that 5 pound clippie. Now hopefully I will see some inches come off soon too! I just wanted to thank you all. I may not post much, but all of your posts help me to keep my spirits up :D What a great group!

Thanks for the congrats Kath! I was quite happy to see the drop in numbers. It's always nice to start with a drop because otherwise I tend to get depressed about it.

Congrats to you too on your loss! You are a great cheerleader and an inspiration. :D

Well, I'm here to check in and say that I gained a pound this week. It truly isn't a surprise and I'm not upset. It's that TOM and a bad one this month, so hopefully, I will see better results next week. Keep up the great work everyone.

I remind myself that it isn't always about the weekly WI, it's about being healthier and keeping the weight off long term, not a quick fix, but a lifestyle.

jimmytammy, I like your attitude. I'll have to remember that when I'm having a bad day.

Oh my gosh!!! I am so excited!! I usually lose weight very slowly! I've been doing Atkins since the beginning of April and did low carbing for a month before that. All total- I've been low carbing almost 3 months and lost a total of 12.5 lbs. That's SLOW compared to most Atkins people. I have seen other benefits however- among them is a drastic reduction in my meds for diabetes!

This morning I got back on the scale. On Monday when I weighed- I had actually GAINED 1.5 lbs. Today, I lost that 1.5 PLUS another 5.5 lbs!!! I get my 15 pound clippie today! And only need to lose another 2 lbs for my 20 pounder! I just can't believe this.........of course with the way I lose weight, it'll probably take another 3 weeks to lose those 2 lbs! ;)

Oh well- I don't care. I'm happy for now. Thanks everyone for helping me hang in there through the tough times. Times like these certainly make it worth while!

I don't weigh very often, I go more by the old clothes either falling off or fitting, depending on size. But I stood on the scale today, another one bites the dust. 16 total for me, many more to go, I am lovin' it!!!!!:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

1.5 gain this week. I have been going up and down for the past 5 weeks and I am the same today as I was the first weigh in in may (this being the first weigh in in June). I can't really be mad that I did lose, as I have not being sticking the my plan like I should and I haven't been exercising. BUT I am upset that I have gained. I honestly could not expect a loss but I KNOW I shouldn't have gained. I feel like a yo-yo UP AND DOWN UP AND DOWN.

I am still NOT going to give up. I am determined and I know I will get back into things. But with summer being here and the temps in the high 90's exercise is difficult and I jsut haven't been able to get my BUTT out of bed in the AM to do it when it is cool(er). But this is a new week, so time to look forward, not back.

I like your attitude DisneyChrista! There's a lot to be said for determination and stubborness when it comes to weight loss. You keep on trying- because it will come off eventually. I know it's really hard to hang in there and stay positive all the time, but you seem to have a really good attitude about it. Keep up the good work! Like I said- you'll hit pay dirt one of these days.

Barb and Mickeyfan- congrats on those loses! I never really realized before this go round , how hard it is to lose 1 lb!! Or even a half pound! I'll say this much- I ahve leaarned to truely appreciate every OUNCE that I and someone else loses- because they are all fought for hard!

disneyeveryyear Congratulations on two whole cheat free days! Husbands don't seem to appreciate our weight loss efforts sometimes. It's a good thing we have WISH so we can come here and talk about our little victories and our little back slides. It is so helpful to me to have WISH :)

giggles221 WOO HOO!!!!! WOW! Losing 4 pounds in a week is wonderful success and progress! That 5 pound clippie is practically in your signature already. I'll bet you have it by next weigh in.

You have measured yourself? Excellent. I'll bet you are getting smaller as well as lighter, too.
I sure hope that you are feeling proud of yourself because I'm proud of you!

I hope you get over being shy pretty soon. It is so helpful for all of us when lots of WISHers participate here. Are you shy? Don't forget that you are one of my friends. My WISH friends are all special to me :)

Beth E. (NJ) Reading about the progress that my fellow WISHers make each week is very motivating for me. You all keep me inspired and determined.
You are going to have a new clippie next week, I'll bet.

jimmytammy You have an excellent attitude jimmytammy. You sound a little down, though. How much weight do you usually gain during TOM? More than 1? If you usually gain more than one pound during TOM then you have actually lost.

Just wait until the BF goes away and weigh yourself again. I'll bet you lose more than just one pound. {{{HUGS}}} sweetie. Hang in there and keep that positive attitude. You help keep me motivated. I'm really glad you are part of my support group.

karebear1 Well, see there? The WHOOSH Fairy has been to see you. Isn't that great? I told you that you would drop the weight. Some of us just have to be a little more patient than others but if we don't give up, the whoosh fairy will eventually come to see us.

Are you smiling? Are you feeling proud of yourself? I sure hope so. You have made me beam with pride for you. You never gave up, you got frustrated and disappointed but you never gave up. That is just so great.

I'm proud of you cutie. Just keep that great attitude. Enjoy your improved health, stay faithful to plan and you will get smaller slowly but surely. Don't forget to measure yourself at least once a month. It's motivating to see those numbers get smaller too.

mickeyfan1 WOOHOO!!! Way to go! Another pound gone forever. What a success you are, Marsha.

Be proud of yourself, all of your WISH friends are proud of you. Have you been using that pool of yours? You lucky thing :)

Bichon Barb Barb, Barb, Barb....what am I going to do with you? You lost 1/2 pound this week. You announce it like you would announce that you cleaned the oven or something.

Did you realize that if you lost 1/2 pound every week that you would be 26 pounds lighter at the end of the year? That is progress...that is success my friend.

You need to learn to celebrate your successes. You need to be proud of your accomplishment. You are on your way to goal sweetie. You have 1/2 pound less to lose now.

Well, I'm proud of you.

disneychrista

I KNOW I shouldn't have gained

Then, if you think about it, you didn't gain. All that happened is that you are retaining fluid and the scale is showing a false gain.

If you have been faithfully following your plan and doing your exercise there is no way you gained fat. If you didn't gain fat, you didn't gain. Get it?

I'm so proud of you for not giving up. That is a sign of determination and seeing such great determination makes me feel determined and motivated. Are you using fitday to journal your eating? {{{HUGS}}} sweetie. I went the whole month of February not losing anything and when I went to New Orleans I came home and showed a gain on the scale. I knew that I had stayed on plan so I didn't get all depressed about it. Your scale will be showing you numbers you want to see, eventually. Just don't give up. You should measure yourself, if you haven't already, it can make the difference between giving up and seeing success.

You can do this, I know you can, I appreciate your positive attitude!

karebear1 Look how wise you have become! Excellent advice, disneychrista....you should listen to karebear1, she knows of which she speaks :)

Katholyn

I reached 35.5 lb loss today and my undies are falling off  I also can't carry my work keys in my pocket because they're starting to drag my pants down...... I guess the best part of the last week was that we moved to a new town with a GNC completely stocked with Atkins chocolate peanutbutter bars. I love them!!!

Jacksmom99 WOW! Did you lose all 35.5 pounds after taking the WISH challenge?

What a wonderful success you are at this weight loss stuff. I'm so happy and proud for you. You are getting closer to goal everyday!

Congratulations! Don't stay away so long, sweetie. It's been almost 3 weeks since I have seen you here on WISH. I suppose moving cut into your WISHing time but still...dn't you know I miss members of my support group when they don't visit? Well, I do :)

Good job this week. Keep it up, you are doing great!

Katholyn

After a week of zero carbs. on Alex's Challenge, I gained 1-lb, and lost 4-inches.

Congratulations to everyone and best wishes, and encouragement to everyone tis week. Ray

Congratulations to all the losers........and maintainers.
Everyone else....keep at it.......it'll happen.

I've been stalled for a month. My clippie is getting rather worn and tired looking, don't ya think? ;)

Well, this week...finally.......:bounce: 2 ounds came off!! Yay!
That's 7 pounds on WISH and a total of 23 pounds :teeth:

Hopefully next week I'll get to wear something new ;)

Hi,
I am late in checking in!

I have not lost any more weight, but did lose another inch.

I am trying to adjust my diet. It is soooo difficult with kids and goodies around the house.

Any suggestions?

Lisajl

RaySharpton Bless your heart! Welcome to the sometimes frustrating world of weight loss.

Since you have been eating zero carbs this past week then I guess we both realize that you didn't gain a real pound, right? Just that fluid fluctuation stuff again, I hate that fluid stuff.

But you lost 4 inches! WOO HOO!!!! You are smaller, Ray. Atkins is working for you. After all, getting smaller is our real goal, not some number on the scale.

I think you are doing great, Ray. I'm really proud of you for making it through a DIS meet and staying on plan, too. I think that is a great photo of you at the Atlanta meet. You look smaller and healthier, really you do. You have a better color than last December. It must be your new and healthy lifestyle.

I'm proud of you for not giving up, too. I know it can be a little frustrating seeing others post about losing 10 or 11 pounds in one week and not losing so quickly yourself. Been there, done that...still doing that ;)

Be proud of yourself, Ray. You are doing very well and I'm proud of you. You are on your way to goal and I can tell that you are determined to get there.

Meriweather YIPPEE!!! Two pounds gone forever. It's a great feeling to see the number get smaller after so many weeks of maintaining, isn't it? I know from personal experience. You did it though, you lost two whole pounds.

One of these days when you have absolutely nothing better to do go back on WISH to February and read the check in threads. You will see that I took the challenge and then stalled. It took me a whole month to finally earn my first clippie and then I kept it about a month before I got to trade up again. We just have to be patient with our bodies, they have a timeline of their own.

I'm really proud of you for not giving up, a lot of people would have given up. But not you, you my friend, are one determined WISHer. Be proud of yourself.

lisajl Send me the kids and give the goodies to your neighbors :teeth:

Oh, alright! I didn't think you would send me your kids but it was worth a shot. I have no little children or grandchildren and I am reduced to borrowing other people's kids. I had to try, at least ;)

Isn't it exciting that you lost an inch? Don't you think so, Lisa? I think so. Would you trade that inch to have a pound less show up on the scale? I would rather lose an inch than 20 pounds, that is the truth. Our goal is to get smaller, really, not to get lighter. Who cares what the scale says as long as we are getting smaller?

You are doing great! You are getting smaller and pretty soon you will be lighter too. What eating plan are you following? That might help us make some suggestions for you.

Be proud of yourself, cutie. You are determined and not giving up and you are getting smaller. That is a powerful combination. I'm proud of you!

Katholyn

My first check in and since I weigh on Saturdays I may wind up being the last poster on this board.

Down 1.2 for my first serious week on weight watchers. I am pretty happy.

Now on to week two which will be more difficult since I am out of town the second half of the week. I will just have to eat on the LOW range the first half.

Katholyn,

Geez! You really know how to brighten my day!!!

Thanks for the encouragement. I am trying to do WW on my own.
My sister has lost a lot of weight on it, and she gave me the info to follow.
I am trying to count points, but somedays it is harder than others.

Yes, I am very happy about losing an inch. I just wish I could lose the weight also.

I will lose the weight, I started gaining and then found out about my hypothyroid. The doctor said some of the weight gain came from that problem.

Will keep trying....
