WISH Check-in Thread for March 7, 2004

I lost an additional 2 pounds this week - bringing my total loss to 6 pounds!!!!

And I wasn't too good this weekend. We were away and there were lots of temptations. I tried to make the best choices possible and not sweat it when I had a little something that wasn't the best for me -- like some chocolate chip cookie.

I'm off to get my 5 pound clippie now. :D
 
Perfect Maintenance for me this week -- too bad it wasn't what I was going for ;) If anyone has seen the whoosh fairy lately, would you be so kind to direct her to my house :teeth:

I did it! :hyper: Check out that fabulous BLUE clippie down there! I love it! 4 pounds gone this week - I'm not sure how I did it, but I think TOM had something to do with it. :p Only 3 more pounds to my next clippie, 4 pounds to my next 10% goal (and new No Foolin' challenge goal), and 20 pounds to ONEDERLAND! :teeth: Look out, here I come...

I kicked up my exercise this week, adding another 5 minutes (~0.4 miles) to my morning jog. It's tough, but doable. My sister and I are signing up for a 4-mile race (the Los Gatos Great Race) on April 4. My goal is to run the entire way, maybe at 5 mph. We'll see!

I did really well this weekend, eating reasonably at a great French restaurant (only half a dessert - tarte Tatin, yum!) and handling an unexpected restaurant meal on Sunday. DH really wanted to go out, so we stopped at a pizza place. I had a big salad w/ dressing on the side and a mini-pizza - and I was perfectly satisfied. Go me!

AprilN: Looks like we're on the same cruise--can't wait.

As for my check-in: I am such a yo-yo. OP/off program, etc. I am now up 7:earseek: since last week's check-in. Nothing I have eaten is worth having to write that number down for all to see!! Love the accountablity of this forum. Here's to a much better check-in next week!!
 
Hi, I though I would check in too. I've been trying to lose weight, but it just wasn't happening. I started Atkins (I can't belive it myself) on Sunday and lost 4.2 pounds already. I know it's water, but that's OK ;). So far I am not doing a 100% "clean" induction. I had coffee on Sunday and I think the salad dressing I had on Monday may have had sugar in it. I'm not sweating it, though. I'm in ketosis (yucky breath!) and I checked with a ketostick yesterday and it was pink. I am still having cravings for carbs. The (skinny) receptionist at my DD's pre-school had pop-corn today and I almost mugged her!

My big challenge will be my trip to Hawaii in 2.5 weeks. I might move off of induction and into a more liberal eating plan while in paradise and then back to induction to jump start myself when I return.
 
I'm a little late checking in but on Sunday's weigh in I was down 2.5 lbs
 
Everyone is looking great on their progress!

I maintained this week, but I'll take it. I'm still working on developing an eating plan (only on WISH for 2 weeks now) so I wasn't expecting much loss.
 
I almost forgot to check in! I lost 3lbs this week and I was able to claim my 85lb clippie :sunny:
