Some of us that were chatting last night and having a problem getting back into the exercise mode promised to get in some exercise today. I had made the promise to get on the treadmill for 15 minutes and ended up going for 20. I am getting ready to do some crunches and squats before I shower. How did everyone else do today? Can't wait to hear from you.

Does shoveling 4 inches of snow before I had my coffee count?

Today is an "off" day but tomorrow I run again, at least 2.5 miles and try for 3. Fri is swimming or elliptical and Sat is long run, at least a 5K. Whew, I am tired just looking at my schedule! :p

Woo-hoo- look at Tammy, holding us ACCOUNTABLE!!!

I'll check in tonight after my WATP. If I don't check in by 9pm est, you can yell at me! :p

OK Kathy - I'll be checking back in later on this evening.

mrsv98-I'd say that shoveling snow especially before coffee counts as exercise.

Anyone else ready to report?:D

Not yet, but I am finally feeling better this afternoon and may try to get on it for a small bit this evening around 7:00. Will check in when (not if KathyTX) it is done tonight.
;)
mrsv98--That is a great schedule! I want to be there. (Hopefully soon)

Thanks Tammy for holding us accountable. I quickly saw your post today while I was at work and it really made me come home and exercise.

I did the 4 mile WATP Express DVD. It felt good to get back on the exercise wagon. I can do it. Thanks for motivating me last night.

mrsv98, that is a great schedule.....congrats on your hard work!

Last nights chat was really fun! THANKS!

Ok, who is next!!

I walked on the track at the YMCA yesterday and today. 50 minutes yesterday and 45 today. I actually worked harder today because yesterday my friend was walking with me. Too much chatter, not enough focus. Today I got tired of being lapped by everyone (and I do mean everyone...I was waiting for someone with a walker to pass me;) ), so I really tried to pour it on. I plan on walking again on thursday, friday and sunday. I hope I stick with it.

Edited to add: I just noticed that this thread was for people who chatted last night. Oops. I hope to get technologically advanced enough to chat someday.

Missed the chat last night (having computer problems AGAIN) but three cheers for our buddy - she told us that she needed to get serious and sounds like she is and now she is also going to make you guys accountable to her - sounds like some real activity points in the making to me!

I did it! Took a 2 mile "stroll" on TM going 3 mph for 40 minutes. I don't feel as sick as I expected afterward. (I have been down with flu/sinus infection for a week and a half.)

Totally boring.

DH was pushing me off so he could have a turn.

Whew! Okay, I got started- I did 2 miles of WATP. I meant to go for 3 miles, but I got a foot cramp! (Okay, I know it's a wimpy excuse!) But it's a start, and I can go for 3 miles tomorrow!

Tiger Lily- way to go! I know you weren't looking forward to the treadmill, but you got moving, even though you've been feeling bad!

Melanie- 4 miles! You're such a stud! :teeth: I'm gonna follow in your footsteps!

Tammy- crunches, squats, AND the treadmill? Where on earth did you find all that energy so early in the day?

mrsv98 - I think shoveling snow should count as weight training!

tw1nsmom- wow- you're really pushing yourself! good for you! and I'm glad you've joined in with our exercise gang! We were talking in chat last night about how hard it was to get our exercise habits re started after letting things slip over the holidays. You'll come to chat next week to push us harder, won't you?

Bev!!! I'm glad you're weighing in and cheering us on! Will you get your technical problems worked out by next Monday's chat? I want to hear your voice!

Thanks everyone, for pushing me to just get moving!

Kathy

I hope I can join in here! We are snowed in here in NC, no school Mon, Tues and again Wed. Can't go for a run, too much ice; but I should get off my butt and do some of those crunches and squats at home.

Here I go! Thanks for the motivation!

WOW- We all did great! You guys are the greatest! Thanks for all the motivation! It feels good to start!

Princessmomma- Please join us........we would love the company. The more the merrier. Join us next Monday at 9pm too for chat.

Kathy, 4 miles seemed so far when I was doing it. At 2 miles, I was getting tired. Once I was done, it felt really really good. Great job on the 2 miles, you will do 3 next time. Foot cramps really hurt! Great job!

Tiger lily, great job on the 2 miles on the TM! Way to go. That is great for having had the flu for the last week and half.

Bev,
Looking forward to seeing you in chat next Monday. Hope your computer is back up and running. We missed you this week.

Tammy, someday I will get into the act and try crunches and squats. Hopefully!

Thanks Tammy. I saw your post earlier today, so I picked up the kids after school and headed straight to a BodyPump class. I am exhausted, but I feel like a better person for it. No pie for me today. I'm high on endorphins, not sugar!

Sounds like everyone did great today after making their commitment last night. Is anyone up for another commitment tomorrow to help keep us accountable?

I am going to commit to the treadmill for at least 20 minutes tomorrow and do my squats and crunches again. Let's all hang in there together and I know that we can get back on track.

Thanks for checking in everyone and it helped me knowing that I needed to report in to everyone. I have to get my exercise in early in the day or it just doesn't happen. We homeschool and once we get going into the day I am too tired at night to fit it in so I am more of a morning exercise person.

Sending you all PD for a great evening and a wonderful feeling of accomplishment that we did it today. :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Congrats to all the exercisers! I found one mile on the walking DVD to be plenty challenging. My usual routine is to alternate upper and lower body workouts with weights, and those are killers.

Nancy, one mile's good- that's enough to get the blood pumping!

Okay, exercise buddies- I'll commit to meet you for another round of exercise tomorrow! I'm shooting for the 3 mile WATP... I need to work my way back up to it.
:Pinkbounc :bounce: :bounce:

I have to confess that I wimped out today - those flannel sheets just way too warm and I wanted to do a few things before work. I just "can't" meet your challenge this evening - I'm off for a massage - will be thinking of everyone tho ;)

I need to get my buns up and at em tomorrow, so thanks for letting me join in and being accountable too!

Will try to join you next Monday for chat - seems like we are getting the bugs worked out in computer.

K, thanks to the chat, I joined. I road the bike for 30 min. and then did pilates (the tape is about 30 min.). I look forward to chatting with and getting to know everyone.

Ok,
I will committ to either do the 4 mile WATP's or one of the FIRM tapes today. Maybe I will even add 20 minutes of stair climbing since I am home with the kids today because of the snow.

DavidandDenise- Glad your joining us!!! Great job, biking and pilates!!! WOW!

Lacool- Glad you could join us too! Great job on keeping away from the pie and exercising!

Can't wait to hear how everyone does today!

Yipee, I am happy to report that I got myself on the treadmill and stayed on for 30 minutes (10 more minutes than planned). I was watching Dr. Phil and felt like I could keep going. I did my crunches and squats as well. Now it's time for a good shower.

MelanieC-Glad to hear you are joining in for another day.

D&D-Way to go on your exercise, sounds like you had a great workout.

Bev-You can join us tomorrow, do you want to make a commitment?

Nancy-One mile is wonderful and a good start.

Keep up the great work everyone, we can do it. I have to say that knowing that I had said I would do 20 minutes today really made me get on that treadmill. It would have been easy to stay at the computer with my coffee. I am also going ahead and committing to at least 20 minutes for tomorrow. Anyone else want to go for tomorrow as well?

Thanks for the accountability chance, that seems to motivate me more than anything. We can do this exercise thing together and make it a routine again instead of a chore.::yes::
