WISH Chatters Exercise Check-In

I am so bummed, I had every intentions of exercising yesterday. I came home from work and we had to run my car in to get the inspection done. My lease runs out in June, and I had been wanting to go see if it was worth it for me to return it now since I am already over in miles. We decided to do that quickly (Ha Ha!) last night. I was there till 11:30pm and they closed at 9pm. I do have a new car though. I got lucky because they had an early bird return special that starts 2/3. They dated the paperwork for next Tuesday. I didn't eat at all till I got home at 11:30pm last night. I was so tired, my blood sugar was low and I had a headache. I feel like I have a hangover today, because I couldn't fall asleep till after 2 am, and the sun woke me up at 7:30am. I thought today was my one day to sleep in. Not sure what I can do today in the way of exercise but we will see. Maybe I can even get the 1 or 2 mile WATP's tonight. I have to go drop a check off at the car dealership and we are going to the mall today. DH wants to watch the movie we didn't get to see last night tonight, and wants to watch it early.

I won't committ to working out today, but I will make every effort too!
Good job to everyone else who did. Like Tammy said, I probably shouldn't be pushing myself so hard when I was so sore. Maybe yesterday was a good thing. I don't feel sore today now!

Hi everyone, and a Happy Saturday to all!:wave2: I was a bit of an insomniac last night, so I ended up exercising @4:45 a.m. this morning!:crazy2: Since I wasn't doing anything else, I figured I might as well get it over with.:rolleyes: Did The Firm's Complete Aerobics & Weight Training, then showered and went to our 24 hour WalMart to do the grocery shopping. So, now it's almost 1:30, and I'm ready to CRASH! Tomorrow I'll be doing either WATP 4 Mile or Firm's Cardio Sculpt. If I ever take a day off from exercising it's on a Sunday, but I get so motivated from reading the WISH board that I'll think I'll make it! Congrats to all who got moving today, and a big hug of encouragement and support for those who feel they may need it!:grouphug: See you tomorrow!
 
I did Winsor Pilates yesterday. Didn't make the TM as I had good intentions of doing. I will see where I can get to today. I am doing house cleaning right now. So maybe as I put in a load of clothes to wash I will do TM.

I look forward to Monday chat time.

I made it to the gym Thurs nite and Fri morning, but didn't get there this morning, as I had planned. Hoping the motivation to pop in Windsor Pilates kicks in soon, but I am doubting it. At least I am watching my points more closely.
 

Congratulations to you all that made your commitment on Friday and Saturday. I didn't make mine yesterday (Saturday). DH had a stomach bug or something Friday and into the night and guess who woke up with it yesterday? Yep, me. I felt lousy all day and was in and out of the bathroom (sorry for the mental picture). I am still feeling a bit weak this morning so I am not going to do much at all today.

I have to go for an MRI early tomorrow morning (7:00am) so I'll be on the treadmill after I get home from that.

lacool-Glad to hear your positive thougths about keeping up with your points. That is important as well.

Tiger Lily 03-Great job on getting your Pilates in yester. Keep up the great work.

luvmydogs-4:45am :crazy: OMG, I can't imagine exercising at that time, but if it works, go for it. I am sorry that you were up so early and I am sure you did feel like crashing yesterday afternoon.

MelanieC-Let me think, new car vs. exercise, which one would I pick? Yep, the car would have won. I hate that your sugar level had dropped and it was so late when you got home for dinner. I am sure you weren't feeling well by that time. I hope that you got a little more sleep last night.

AlreadyexcitedGrammy-Glad to hear that you got all of your exercising in that you wanted and knowing that you needed a few more minutes, you jumped on the treadmill. How was your long walk yesterday? I hope you enjoy your day off today.

mrsv98-I hope you enjoyed your run yesterday. Even if our children don't have a weight problem, it is important for them to see us making healthy decisions and exercising.

I just have to say that I am so glad that we set this challenge for ourselves this week and we stuck to it. Everyone needs some time off and it wasn't a challenge to see who could do more, but to help get each of us back on track with our exercising at a comfortable place for us all. I am looking forward to CHAT tomorrow night as well and we can all be proud that we made a great effort this week of getting back on track.

I hope that you all have a great Sunday and will be chatting with you tomorrow.
 
Good Sunday morning everyone! Oh, Tammy, I'm sorry your house has been hit with a stomach bug--that's the worst! Make sure you rest and take good care of yourself, and I do hope you're feeling better soon! I did my Cardio Sculpt this morning, and now I'm baking a cake.....must......resist.....the frosting...:headache: Tomorrow I'll do Complete Aerobics & Weight Training. I soooo appreciate this thread--it's really keeping me motivated, and I love to hear about everyone's successes! I hope everyone enjoys their Sunday, and a big congrats to all who got moving! I did actually get on TM yesterday. Did 40 min @3mph for total 2 miles. Getting back in slowly.
Talked with brother today who has been my companion. for the 5k. (He is experienced with marathon and half marathon running.) I asked him if he thought I was irrational to try the 1/2 marathon with the WISH walkers. He has given me the go ahead! He says it can be done, but I must get it going even slowly.

Today I am happy.

I now have two supporters of my dream. The only two I have told so far. I am beginning to "step out" with my quest.

I plan to TM before Super Bowl party.
 
8 miles on Saturday! Did it in 1 hour 55 min. (set at 4.2). I was happy because when I was done I knew that I could have gone longer but 1) that was enough and 2) had a hair appt. so no real decision as to whether I had to stop or not.

T- so sorry to hear that you guys are passing tha flu bug around. Hope that you are better today and take it easy so that you will be feeling "great" for your get-way!

Tomorrow I plan to do the 4 mil WATP tape that I bought yesterday, it says that it is 60 minutes and that is what I am committed to doing 60 min of exercise each day through March 11th.

I am so ready to just have these pounds gone!

CONGRATULATIONS to everyone who has been faithful and Melaniec don't be too hard on yourself - we all recognize that "life" happens! This is a lifestyle not a race and you are "styling" pretty good ;)

So are you ready for week 2? Will there be some chattering from this committed group tomorrow night?
 
Good morning all of my exercise friends. I hope that the weekend treated you wonderfully and that the new week is starting off great. I am thankfully getting over this stomach bug that has hit our house, but DH is still feeling pretty badly. I had to go for an MRI this morning so I haven't gotten the exercise in today. I think that I am going to go in and do my crunches, squats, push-ups and some jumping jacks. I also am going to do the 8 minutes in the morning exercises for the 1st day. That's going to be my committment for today and I'll be on the treadmill tomorrow and Wednesday before we leave to go to the Outerbanks.

AlreadyexcitedGrammy-Your walk on Saturday sounded like a great one, congratulations on getting that one in. I hope that you were able to get your exercise in this morning like you had planned.

Tiger Lily 03-I hope you got your TMing done before the party last night. You have a great supporter for the 1/2 now.

luvmydogs-Did you resist that frosting or did you have to have a lick? If you resisted, I am giving you a big applause.

I hope everyone will be able to at least check-in during the chat tonight. Hopefully if there is anyone else there that needs to get moving we can help get them motivated. We'll start a new check-in thread for us WISH chatters tomorrow morning. I am sending everyone lots of PD for a wonderful day and remember we do need to do some type of moving.

HI Tammy and all you WISHers! I'm glad to hear you're feeling better, Tammy, and hopefully dh will be healthy for your trip! Also hope everything went well with your MRI.::yes:: I did Complete Aerobics and Weight Training video this morning, and was actually able to increase my weights from 8 lbs. to 10 lbs. for some exercises--happy about that. Tomorrow will be Cardio Sculpt. I am sorry to report that I could not altogether resist the cake frosting--ds8 and I shared a spoonful.:blush: However, about a year or so ago I would've eaten the whole tub of frosting and growled at ds when he asked me to share--so I'm claiming a partial victory...:) I've never made it to WISH Chat but hopefully will tonight--ds has a basketball game at 7:45, so I'll try to check-in if we're home in time...I get so much inspiration from listening to everyone! I will be there tonight after my WI. I won't get to exercise till after Chat tonight, not sure what I will have time for, but I would like to at least do something.

I really need to find a way to get up in the morning on some days. It's hard though, I am definately not a morning person.

Hey Chatters and Supporters,
Well, I had a lazy weekend, but I am in my exercise clothes and on my way to the gym in 15 minutes. Can't make chat tonight. A girlfriend suffered a surprise breakup this weekend and we need to go have a margarita and man bash. Any idea how many points are in a margarita? I'd better spend some extra time on the TM.
 
I did the WATP Express 4 mile. I'm not sure who else does it but I think I read that someone else used it, too. The steps are the same, the pace just a bit faster but nice change of pace for a hours worth of "getting it done"!

I wanted to start the 8 minutes a day exercises and I totally forget them - maybe tonight but doubtful - but I did my committment.

Hoping to chat later with everyone, too!

Tomorrow is 1/2 hour in the morning and my weight class after work, that usually si 45 minutes so I should be a-ok tomorrow too. Have a meeting directly after class so won't check in until late or maybe even Wed.

GO GO GO everyone - we are on a roll!
