DD 16 got hers out yesterday. She's been doing pretty well. She's had jello, milkshakes, ice cream, warm soup and mashed potatoes. She loved the banana/mango milkshake I made her at supper last night.

Her face is swollen and flushed even though she's on a steroid for swelling.
And they had to stick her at least twice to get the IV started and the first one must have hit a nerve. Her left palm and two fingers have been dead for more than 24 hours, but she think it's starting to come back a little finally.
Interesting the difference in what one surgeon suggests vs. another. DD can't have any sodas for the next week. They can dissolve the stitches. No straws or really hot liquids. Ice only for the first 24 hours, then nothing for the second 24 and moist heat the third 24.
She's doing better than I thought. She's spent most of the day today in a recliner chatting with her friends via computer.
