Up at 4:30, My DH and daughter flew out of Chicago on Saturday the 19th at 9:00 a.m. On their own for 3 days.
I get to our highschool with son-15 and goddaughter 17 by 6:45 a.m. I had to check everyone's luggage for black shoes, socks, and white gloves, uniforms and instruments and to make sure their was nothing else that didn't belong.
Bus finally left at 8:30 a.m.
Way to many stops.
Arrived at St. Augustine Easter Day. Kids did the parade at 3:00 p.m. A school was suppose to be open for them, but nobody showed up to open it. If it would of been our town, we would of been there with doors open, food and drink, for great hospitality. Thanks St. Augustine for the hospitality.
We ran around St. Augustine before the parade, some of us ran to the Cathedral late for church and the bishop wouldn't bless us, probably mad that we came in late. At least received communion.
Parade was 3 miles long. After the parade we changed uniforms in bus again and headed for Orlando. We checked into Ramade Main Gate East, (if my husband would of been along, we would of left).
Some of the kids room didn't have hot water, and some had bugs crawling, spiders, but we survived.
Band director's took first nite watch till 1:30, then second crew came on till 4:00. Kids were good, no one left their rooms.
Me, shower and tried to sleep. From lack of sleep, it was hard to wind down.
