I am staying at POFQ and I know there is a $10 charge to use the internet for 24 hours, but I was wondering if there is a place close by that I can use the internet for free. I have some school work that I have to do :sad1: while on vacation and need to use the internet frequently. Thanks for all the help.

I didn't check out th link given, but this question has been asked alot and the answer I have always seen replied is no. You have to pay. Someone was really trying to get around it and kept telling us he only needed access for 5 minutes, but what can "we" here at DIS do about it. Someone suggested that perhaps McDonalds has free access, but I think they determined that it didn't. Maybe do a search on the subject and you can find other threads with the info.

Check out the closest library to WDW. Our library offered free WiFi. Of course that may be a little inconvenient on vacation.

The only way to connect to the Internet for free at Disney is if you have a local dial-up number and use a dial-up connection, now that they are no longer charging for local calls. If you are just doing research and email, but not downloading a lot of files, the connection speed is not too bad. Other than that, you have to pay for the high speed and wireless. I believe the wireless is only available in limited areas around the convention center resorts, and not in the guest rooms, as the only Internet info I've ever seen in the room was in regards to the high speed cable connection Internet access.
