This is probably somewhere on this board already, but can't seem to find it. Is wireless access available in the hotel rooms, particularly at Port Orleans Riverside? If not, is it available anywhere in the resort near the rooms? Also, if it is available, does anyone know the cost? Thanks!

All the resorts have in room Internet access for $9.95 for 24 hours. There is a router mounted on the wall usually by the main telephone. There is usually a Cat5 cable in the room too or you can bring your own. I understand the convention center resorts have WiFi in the lobbies or the convention center areas but still $9.95 for 24 hours. There is reported to be WiFi by Pioneer Hall in Fort Wilderness, too.

Check here - WDW Internet Access

In room internet access is not wireless and is $9.95 per 24 hour period as the previous poster just indicated.

Is it true that there are actual computers in the rooms at the CR, and not just an access outlet?

There are no computers in your room, you have to bring your own laptop. What they have in the convention rooms or lounges I have no idea. We always bring our laptop and the access cable is there sitting on the desk for you to plug into.

Thanks everyone for the update ... I appreciate it!!!!

We just got back, we decided to just use dial up. It was free. They don't charge for local call.

There is no wireless internet access in the rooms. I am not sure about the lobbys. Anyway, the cost is $9.95 per day, meaning if you purchase the internet service at 12 PM one day, you can use it until 12 PM the next day without being charged. The reason I am going into detail is that I know a lot of people who think that the 24 hours means you can split the time you are online into increments. :)

IIRC they were doing a trial run of putting computers in some concierge level rooms at CR to see how that might work.

I haven't heard if that trial has expanded or continued.

All rooms at the CR currently have computers with internet access. It is free but not WiFi. The CR thread will update if they get removed. Hope that helps, Marriedmyprince
