I'm hooked on this show, which BBC America started playing a few weeks back. Very cool, very edgy, really, really like it.

Got question on the lead actor, Robson Green (I think). He's got a very unusual accent. I don't recognize it. Anyone?

I love so many shows on BBC America, I just wish they had longer seasons or runs. A typical season for our shows is 20+. The British seasons seem to run under 10 episodes--I want more. :(

I haven't seen the series, but really enjoyed the book when I read it a few years ago. :)

Robson Green is (I think) a Geordie, meaning he comes from the N.E of England, around the Newcastle area. (I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong on this! )

I'm positive Robson Green is from Newcastle.

There is a new series of Wire in the Blood starting over here next week.

Yep, you guys are right. I went to the BBCAmerica website. He's from the north. His accent sounds funny to my ear, I have to concentrate to catch everything. Honestly, I have to concentrate a lot when watching BBC America. Some actors have a tendency to swallow their endings and slur things together. You guys probably think we do the same thing. ;)

Wye aye, man, Robson's from New-castle alright! (does anyone else remember when Newcastle was one word, and now-a-days it's two, with a lift to the 'castle' bit?. Must be a p.c. thing!):teeth:

When we were on the Gulf at xmas, some American visitors asked if we were from the North East, but they meant Maine, not Durham!:teeth:

Steph,

I too, enjoy Wire in The Blood! BBC America is about the only channel I watch with any regularity anymore.

I am really looking forward to the 2nd series of "Red Cap" to begin!
