Winter Weather Advisory for South Carolina!

This makes me so sad. Ice accumulations and the sunny south do not mix. I want to teach tomorrow. We need to finish out Santa letters to be printed in the paper, and so much else to do.
Any one else upset by the ice forecast? I can handle snow...but not ice.

What I find ironic is that we had the big ice storm exactly one year ago. Since our power was knocked out, we left and went to where else, but Disney. The kids schools were already talking about delays although I haven't seen any on the news yet. We just got back from Disney, so I don't think we could afford to go again!! At least they're predicting it won't be as bad as last years, although I don't think they predicted it to be as bad as it was last year.

Diane that sounds like a wonderful idea, to Disney instead of the ice. Don't think I could get it approved by the administration. We do have much to do before holiday break!

I'm from Pickens, may I ask what part of South Carolina are you from? It's nice to hear from another SC Disney nut.

Hi from NC! I don't want the ice either. Give me snow any day, just not ice. Hopefully this one will not be as bad as the storm last year. I'm all for heading on down to Disney and missing this mess!

HI from Columbia!

Hate the ice --- it is worse than snow. And forget taking the kids out in it to get some air or shopping done! I almost feel like starting a fire in our never-used fireplace.

Keep warm and keep off the roads if you can. The one thing I noticed is that even if you drive safely many many others have no clue about driving in bad weather.

We're now having an icy rain in Greensboro. We were leaving for WDW at 2:00am tomorrow morning but my husband said to be ready to leave at any moment. The car is completely packed. I just hate leaving our 18 month old but I know he will be spoiled rotten getting to stay with both sets of grandparents.
