Winter storm coming-- wish I could escape!

One of the worst things is it was 63 degrees on Wednesday then ice storm on Thursday. We got about 1 1/2" of ice and are supposed to get 3-5" of snow today.

rlduvall- are you related to the Duvalls in Checotah? I grew up there!

A number of people in my family say they like the snow. They can have mine.

I was driving on Rte 90 in western Mass yesterday. It had snowed off and on for part of the day but it was sunny one minute and the next a snow squall came up out of no where and I couldn't see the end of the hood on my car. I hit the brakes to slow down and the car started to spin. I went around more than 360 degrees and stopped just short of a 12 foot ditch. Thank goodness no trucks or cars were behind me. I took a deep breath and continued on to the Albany train station where I boarded a train and slept for the rest of my trip home. Too much excitement for one day.

I've had enough of winter.

Nope, but my DH made us drive through there going to Disney's Hilton Head one time because of Carrie Underwood. He insisted it didn't take us out of our way at all . . . but I never did buy that.

We are in the Tulsa area and it doesn't appear the ice storm was as bad as anticipated, but all of our pine trees definitely look like they are praying. :goodvibes

Jo and I arrived in SW Florida last night. We're camping by the Gulf. Kevin is right, it's a balmy 70 degrees here right now. We'll be thinking of you over the weekend. Be safe.:thumbsup2

We are in Mn. and the sun is shinning, but it is very cold. It was on the news this morning that some of our schools have had 7 snow days, and they are not sure where to make them up. Weather has been really nasty all winter. Spring can not come soon enough.

I went to walmart to pick up a few things and was in there over an hour. the place was packed & it was only noon. I told my son lets get out of here because it will only get worse. Everyone and there mother's were there preparing for the snow. The weatherman said 8-12inches for our area. It the most we've gotten since 1989...and i remember it...lol

hope everyone stays safe and warm.

Kathie

Well, you all have made me feel better about our 15 degrees and 6 inches. Stay safe everyone!

So, I'm stuck inside and spent my day cleaning while watching people outside my window slide around. Tennesseans aren't used to this kind of weather.
