I haven't heard much about it. Is it worth the price? Anyone have a copy of a wine list used as some of the rests.?

I haven't seen a single report of it.

We haven't purchased it when we've used the deluxe plan for parts of our vacations in the last year. The last thing I want to think about when ordering wine is if I'm getting my money's worth.

Sometimes we order different wines...actually often. I wouldn't want to be constrained to order by the bottle when by the glass works better with what we've ordered.

Every restaurant has a different wine list. Most wines are included in the plan. Each wine that is an option has either one icon or two. Two icons means it will cost two entitlements. The price point seems to be around $53 or 54 for the maximum with one entitlement according to my DH's casual analysis.

BTW, can anyone tell me what that icon is? It looks like either a small bunch of grapes or a corkscrew....but neither my DH or I can tell which!:rotfl:

It would be helpful to hear from a Diser regarding this option. I keep struggling with the price... do realize that I generally spend that much on several glasses. Just don't know if it is valuable as an add-on.

When not pregnant I like a wine course or beer course. I rarely drink a bottle of wine unless it is a super sweet wine like a sweet Riesling. So if I had to get a whole bottle and it was not a dessert wine I enjoyed I would be one super unhappy camper. I am simple to please but I do love variety.

I would love to hear more about it from anyone who's tried it and if you have decided not to try it why not?

If I remember correctly it was about $40 to add to one of the deluxe dining plans and you get one bottle of wine a day? do you always have to get it at a restaurant? for some reason I thought it could also be delivered to your room? I would almost prefer that because we like to have a glass of wine while getting ready to go out for dinner and we usually ship 1 or 2 bottles to our resort or buy some there. And then can you bring it with you when you went to dinner?

It is not unheard of for us to drink a whole bottle of wine at a nice dinner :rotfl: so why not? I will try to keep better track this year of our dining/drinking costs to see if upgrading to DxDDp would work for us anyway.

I keep struggling with the price. We will usually have a bottle with dinner, but even here in NY there are usually plenty on the menu for under $30. Why is it so much? Are they really nice bottles? I still can't see myself ordering $50 bottles just because I can. I'd rather save the $40 and order less expensive bottles.
But are there less expensive bottles at Disney restaurants? I can't find wine lists with prices anywhere.

I agree - need more info.

AND I wanted to correct something I said in my previous post. You don't have to have deluxe dining plan to add the wine plan. reading too fast!

anyway hope to hear from other DISers on this one but will happily agree to do some research on it in 34 days!

DW and I are going to try it in a few weeks. We have wine with each meal anyway, so it's just another budget item I don't have to worry about. I suspect the wine lists will not be outstanding, however I'm hoping to find a few nice suprises here and there.
