Wine and Dine Discounted Race tickets

The Wine and Dine will be my first Disney race and I have a question about the discounted park tickets. I have an AP, but my parents have just decided to join my family for the race weekend to cheer us on and they will need tickets. Can I buy them park tickets through the race site or do they have to buy them direct from Disney? I didn't know if the actual racer had to be one of the tickets.

DW called and bought the discount tickets for my grandparents last month and it was a smooth transaction. We have a confirmation number and just need to go to Guest services when they get to WDW and bring the CC the tickets were bought with to claim them. It seems like a very easy process.

Thanks! I have the code to buy them online, so I just wanted to make sure I could the tix just for them, and that I didn't have to somehow need to be one of the ticket users.
