The walking zombie like horde heading to the WWoS complex and then the uncertainty of sitting around not knowing anything since my phone was barely getting any signal was not fun but understandable.I am however grateful for certain things,we didn't get drenched, someone posted that Davenport a few miles away was getting serious rain.My friends were sick and undertrained and gladly accepted the 7 mile distance.I felt great,I love night races and easily would have completed the full half but I also came to quick terms with the shortened course and that this was the best part of the course not having to run the somewhat dull Osceola parkway back and forth from AK.I would have loved to run inside of AK since ToT always teased us with the run through the entrance without going in,but what are you going to do.Most importantly we got to run!!!I was so pumped for this and feeling great that if they would have cancelled it I would have gone batty. Also by having the shortened course we at least had time to spend at Epcot afterwards,we rode Soarin,Test Track and the Mexico ride, the food booth lines were silly long,we were hungry but every line looked like a 45 minute wait and we weren't going to do that,we ended up getting some fish and chips and beer.I think the race director made the correct decision by shortening the course. Not ideal but overall I was very happy with the event.
