Have fun today, guys!
I'm so glad resort staff took the time to create paper instructions that are vague and/or misleading. There should be a direct route between your resort and WWoS.![]()
That's all I've ever gotten in any of my gear bags at any Disney race weekend. I think it's the norm sadly.Just one little clif bar in it, and some safety pins I was happy to notice after I panicked and realized I didn't pack any and forgot to check to see if there were any at the pickup. I guess we do get the after party and everything, though, so maybe that's why there were not more goodies in there.![]()
I only meant to maybe buy one sparkle skirt and ended up with 2.A month ago I had zero skirts, now I have 4.
I'm sorry to hear the official merchandise was sold out so much later yesterday! It was really not too bad early but I had to go back over there after the terrible commemorative line to get my shirt and gear bag, and the line for the merch was a zoo. I had thought it was bad earlier when I was in it but I was "only" zigzagging through the ropes actually in the merch area. When I went back, the line was out the walled area, all around the perimeter of the walled part and all the way back to the 5K shirt pickup area.
I still can't tell if the half shirt is blue or black.I think it's black... but it's got a bluish tinge to it. I was a little surprised at the gear bag. Just one little clif bar in it, and some safety pins I was happy to notice after I panicked and realized I didn't pack any and forgot to check to see if there were any at the pickup. I guess we do get the after party and everything, though, so maybe that's why there were not more goodies in there.

At Tink we got a little mesh backpack and I think a couple more snacks. Don't really care about the snacks but I thought maybe the backpack was normal. That's all I've ever gotten in any of my gear bags at any Disney race weekend. I think it's the norm sadly.
Enjoy reading everyone experience as I think I want to run this one next year! Good Luck all!
I'm no having noise issues thanks to the end of the world room I'm in but I too have some issues with the BC. A little more food offering in the marketplace would be nice (a plain turkey sandwich or chicken sandwich would be nice) but my biggest issue is that my curtains won't shut. Thankfully DH came a day late an was able to pack some chip bag clips and we managed to sleep til 9 today! Yesterday, also, the ihome alarm went off at 6am thanks to the previous occupant. I also don't love the thick pillow top beds they have been putting in the deluxe resorts lately. I cannot get comfortable. But I know these aren't really problem problems, just little things that I will keep in mind. For some reason my last two wine and dines at the boardwalk villas this didnt seem to be as big an issue.Update - there was just a symphony of what sounded like large metal pipes being thrown at the ground outside our FOURTH floor room. So loud it sounded like it was ON our balcony.
This followed by housekeeping or someone at the hotel going in and out of the rooms around us from 7:30-9 am yesterday. Usually every 30-60 seconds (yes I timed it) so I'd hear the door closing/slamming since they are so heavy. And the guy at the desk late last night essentially told me it wasn't CM's and sent me on my way. (It kind of sounds like I can hear someone upstairs right now, like a tile floor, so maybe a service area is upstairs and that is the issue)
Pretty not happy with the BC at the moment!!!!
Ok, rant over.
Rant away, it's cathartic. One year at all star sports it sounded like somone was clogging around in sabot. It was real race sabo-tage.Update - there was just a symphony of what sounded like large metal pipes being thrown at the ground outside our FOURTH floor room. Congrats to all of those who ran Jingle Jungle 5K!
I saw runDisney used a animated screen for the start line for the first time. I wonder if they will continue to do that.
@mbwhitti and I survived the Jingle Jungle 5K! And by survive, I mean it really felt like we were running in the jungle.
Had a delicious brunch at Boma and now I'm off to dive in the pool and rehydrate by osmosis (that works, right?) and rest up for tonight!
