I only take a carry on and a large purse for these 3 to 4 day race trips. I make sure that I pack at least one of my race outfits in my purse. I wear my race sneakers onto the plane and pack a spare pair (also race ready if needed) of sneakers into my wheeled carry on. This way, no matter what I don't have to worry about lost baggage and having to wear new clothes to run a race. At first I thought it would be difficult to fit all into my carry on but it is surprisingly easy.
My waist running pack, iphone arm band, etc also go into my purse. I consolidate my wallet down to a tiny credit card carrier and I am masterful at fitting tons of toiletries (aka potions) into tiny containers to fit into the quart bag.
At this point, I just wouldn't want to have to carry more, check baggage, etc.
Since my wine and dine trip is so short, I may even try to fit everything into just a backpack instead of bothering with the wheelie.
This sounds pretty cool, I'm curious about it now too. Will have to check it out.Has anyone used the Motigo app for a race before? It's an app that plays words of encouragement recorded by your friends & family throughout the race and they recently added an "audio tour" option for certain races; Wine & Dine is one of the races they have an audio tour for.
Hrm, I wasn't planning on packing any clothes in my carry on. I always book direct flights, though. Now you guys are making me paranoid.![]()

If my bag didn't make it off the plane it would likely just end up back in Boston.I am pretty sure the JetBlue flights between Boston and Orlando just go back and forth.

Is this the packing list? This talk reminds me of Coach's packing list. If I get some time I'll go into the internet Wayback Machine. Maybe it's in one of the old marathon threads.
I miss Coach's awesome tips and encouragement!
After last year's 'Splash and Dash', any tips for being prepared for rain, just in case?![]()
